Post-Trade Deadline moves

In the real NBA, salaries become guaranteed on January 10th. (Source: http://www.cbafaq.com/salarycap.htm#Q64 )
Since we use the trade deadline as the "roster cut to keep salary off your cap" date, I propose that contracts become "fully guaranteed" at the trade deadline. In other words, after the trade deadline, teams are no longer permitted to cut players. (They may sign additional players).
EXCEPTION: As the game engine does not allow a sim if a team does not have 8 players healthy enough to play, a team with a full roster of 15 players who has 8 or more of them injured and unable to play may cut too-injured-to-play players (in order of lowest salary to highest) to sign healthy players to reach the minimum 8 needed to play.
(The exception probably would never come into play, but it may as well be explicitly set out)
