#SLOE: People's Basketball Sim League

Welcome to the Trade Deadline Trade-apalooza! There's plenty of debate over whether or not we will have an active trade deadline, or if any trades will shakeup the league. Regardless of what happens, let's keep track of what's happening on one of the busiest days of a sim season!

Nothing splashy about this move, butwhat is shows is that Wade is the PG for the Nuggets team. Currently leading the Midwest, the Nuggets must have been disappointed in Chauncey's decline in athleticism. However, Chauncey is clearly the superior skilled player with better shooting, handles, passing and defense. That 50 quickness must have been a real hindrance, as that is way too slow for a PG and his height doesn't make up for his lack of quickness.

Rockets got their points to help them pay the tax man and look towards rebuilding their team. The only thing I don't get at all is why the Rockets took on that contract. The third year is a team option, but they will have to carry that contract another full season. I guess the points were needed.

Another trade between two Midwest teams.

This is an interesting trade because the Timberwolves were in a spot where they could buy or sell, unlike other teams. They chose to buy and were able to move Agent Production 0, a true journeyman since joining the league, and was able to bring in Big Cat Jamaal Magloire.

Magloire isn't an elite player but he will immediately be looked upon to help secure rebounds and be the defensive anchor the Timberwolves need in a tough conference. His statline won't jump off the screen, but he has the chance to be the perfect complimentary frontcourt piece next to Bosh.

It's been known that the Spurs wanted to move Jamaal, but I wonder if GM Eazy is truly happy with Arenas being the big return for a solid center, which used to be a premium in this league. Arenas still looks like a very capable starter who will be an excellent #2 scorer behind Josh Smith. Hopefully Arenas has better fortunes in San Antonio than the other 99 teams he has been with.
