Hello everyone and welcome to the next season of Van Memphis Basketball. We're excited and ready to get the season underway as Preseason starts tonight against the constantly great Sacramento Kings. Before we get to that, let's see how we got here:

Last season, without a draft pick, things looked dire to start. We seemed to be in danger of giving the Jazz a top pick, before we got it in gear and eventually landed 10th worst. However, we wanted to pick a path. We looked to our veteran Michael Finley after the season ended and together we came up with a plan to help us decide. Finley was willing to come back at a lower rate, after having his team option declined, if we could bring in some more veterans. So after the draft, we set about doing that.

Heading into the draft with no pick, the only thing we could really do was talk trades and while there was some interest in our younger players, we were never satisfied with what was offered. This brings us to free agency. In order to hopefully get us back to winning and armed with around 30 million in cap space, we knew we wanted to make changes to our roster. So we decided to aim for some of the veteran players who brought more of an all around game to the team: First we brought in veteran wing James Posey. He's been a player who has been solid both defensively and offensively. We then decided to make a move towards improving our frontcourt and brought in Defensive specialist Calvin Booth. Finally we re-signed Michael Finley to cap off a fairly eventful free agency period for us.

Any Questions?

Question about your rotation across the board. Will we see Booth and Bynum start together? How will the wing rotation work out? Also, will Calderon and Lowry start together and who will run the point?

He's always been a player who has always been solid both defensively and offensively.
Do you think James Posey has always been sold both defensively and offensively? I can't quite gauge your opinion on this question.

Ideally, we would like to see Booth and Bynum together, especially if we decide to go slower pace.

We'll play around with the wing rotation.

No, because we have plenty of qualified wings, probably Calderon

Lowry is poised for a breakout season. Are you excited about his growth?

Calvin Booth had a strong pre-season. Who else from your rotation of bigs do you expect to make a significant impact this season?
