#SLOE: People's Basketball Sim League

Each of you has $1000, make your bets by sim time Friday, March 4. Remember you get an extra $50 (not points) for a solid write-up.

$100 1/18 - Nuggets @ Hornets (-2) - I have to take the Nuggets here getting 2 points. They are on a hot streak now, winning 10 of their last 11. Although it was a home game for them last time, they pounded the Hornets by 24 in their last matchup. Add in the fact that the Hornets will be missing the defensive presence in the middle that is Calvin Booth; and I feel good about the Nuggets winning this one outright.

$100 1/18 - Clippers @ Lakers (-4) - I hope this doesn't turn into some type of suspension for betting against my own team, but I don't see us winning the cross-town battle here. My team simply hasn't been good this year. The Lakers took it to us in the last meeting plus they will be wearing the home jerseys in this one (does that make a difference?) We will keep it close for a while, but expect the Lake Show to pull away late.

7-9 - 2/1
7> - 2/1 - I like the odds here, plus I'm usually pretty bad at picking games so I'll take my shot here. The big threat is the Bucks continuing their hot streak. However, I'm banking on the Mavs taking them down on the 18th. Kings have a tough matchup vs. the Jazz and a couple iffy road games. The Nuggets are playing well, but I think they will slip up somewhere with a long road trip this sim.

Yes - 1/1
No - 1/1 - If my math is correct, the Bulls will need to go 5-2 this sim to be over .500. So by 1st instinct this looks like a lock. However, when looking closer they get the Magic 3 times this sim. But even with a soft slate of games, I think 4-3 is the best they could do this sim.

lol, btw about to sim. but i had updated my bet earlier to remove my bulls/sixers bet (was $100 for bulls covering points spread) PRIOR to deadline. Just forgot to post... sim about to happen in a couple min
