Each of you has $1000, make your bets by sim time Monday, February 22. Remember you get an extra $50 (not points) for a solid write-up.

$200 Who will lead the league in scoring after sim 1? Jamison (2/1) - The Mavs always start hot, and they will continue to do so. With Camby's decline, Jamison is going to come out of the gate doing anything to make his team win.

$200 11/12 - Jazz @ Nuggets - over/under 200 - These two teams have some of the best scorers in the league. In the preseason they combine to average 217. I think the over is safe here.

$100 11/4 - Bulls (+300) @ Bucks (-300)- If you bet Bulls to win you get 3/1. If you bet Bucks to win you get 1/3 - Gotta bet money to make money. GO BULLS!

$150 11/3 - T-Wolves @ Celtics - Pick'em - I suck on the road and the Celtics are going to be a great team. I think the Celtics take it easily.

$200 11/3 - T-Wolves @ Celtics - Pick'em

$300 11/6 - Magic @ Hornets (-5)
Hornets have the better team on paper and most likely have better continuity than the Magic who have had to make wholesale changes this offseason. And don't forget that the Hornets have "The best PF in the Central division"

$300 11/10 - Celtics (-2) @ Wizards
Lady luck against the one hit wonder Wizards. I think the Celtics come out of this smelling like whiskey on a Tuesday morning. And what kind of hillbilly doesn't like whiskey on a Tuesday? I'm gonna take the Celtics again here cause but I have a feeling now that the Celtics may just tank the opening sim just so I lose the bets. Frye you Conroy.

$100 Mavs - 4/1 Best record
Here's to hoping history repeats itself again this year just like last year when the Mavs came out like gangbusters. Doesn't hurt that this team has been playing together since before Def Leppard had a one armmed drummer.

$100 Duncan - 2/1 High Scorer
The odds may not be the best here but bottom line is that Duncan will have to be the league's highest scorer out of sheer necessity. Overall I think the best record and most points are a bit of a risky bet which is why I'm only going $100 on each.

It was tough picking these games, I avoided betting on myself for superstitious reasons. I tried avoiding betting on my division mates since we are a team on this but eventually settled on the Magic game, sorry CG.

Who will lead league in scoring - Jamison 2/1 - $200 - Taking 24 shots a game in the preseason and making over half of them. I think this will continue

Best Record after sim 1 - Jazz 15/1 - $100 - Taking a longshot here, a lot of teams on this list have a lot of road games, and Utah has some easy ones on the road, taking a chance here.

Magic @ Hornets (-5) - $200 - I'm taking the Hornets here and giving the points, Penny and Miller might be enough to win the game outright, but outside of those 2 the Magic barely field a full team.

For my bonus $50 bet I'll take the field on leading the league in scoring

Oh shit here's my writeup because I want the extra cash. Basically I think this is a long shot but with it being the first bet and the first sim, I figured a nice sized single bet could pay off with the Field's odds which was nice. I'm not sure who else it can be, but I wouldn't be shocked if for one sim some random All Star we are forgetting about absolutely explodes.
