#SLOE: People's Basketball Sim League

We're about an hour away from the beginning of the highly anticipated 2006 PBSL Draft Lotto, so let's begin with the Pre-Lotto Show presented by NOLa. as the general managers from each of the respected lotto team participants file in for seating. A lot of buzz surrounding this class is the perceived thought that this class is "weak" because of the newly imposed age restriction rule by the commissioner, in which high school players must wait one year after their high school class graduates and must be at least 19 years old to be eligible for the draft. We begin by wondering on what these teams missed out on because of this ridiculous rule.



Kevin Durant, a lanky 6'9 forward with NBA-ready shooting ability and handles, had a sensational senior year at Montrose Christian School in Washington D.C. This kid has one of the sweetest strokes for his size and has a knack for getting the ball in the hoop. He is heading to the University of Texas for a one-and-done season most likely, so the league will have to wait one more year before this phenom steps foot on a professional court. What a damn shame.


Speaking of a damn shame, this guy won't be in the class as well.



Wait, that's a picture of him in high school?

Whatever. This is only the repeating 2005 and 2006 Gatorade Player of the Year and the overall consensus #1 prospect in the country. This kid is an absolute terror on the boards and will be able to stack up against any big in the PBSL, as he is already a massive 7'0 270 lbs with quick feet to add on. Oden is built for the PBSL, and he looks built for the PBSL.

It's generally agreed these two prospects would be the first two picks in any given order in this draft, but we will sadly have to wait. This draft class is still good, too! We'll take a closer look at this draft class in the upcoming announcements!

Oh shit I forgot. I wanted to take the time to congratulate the 2005-2006 PBSL Champion, NOLa.!

His first championship after many strong seasons, NOLa. confidently strolled into the playoffs and controlled each of his series with the team led by Hinrich, Deng, and Chandler. The young trio core really stepped up in the postseason and was the catalyst to a dominating run to the Sacramento Kings, and general manager NOLa.'s, first ever championship!
