Najera, a forward from Mexico, became the first Mexican player to be drafted in the PBSL. He was picked #27 by the Dallas Mavericks. In his 4 seasons with Dallas he averaged 3.6 ppg and 2.5rpg. He started 27 games due to injuries in Dallas last year. His contract was not renewed after his rookie deal.
"I've been just staying ready," Najera said. "Waiting for my number to be called. I know that my time in the PBSL isn't over yet. I am blessed the Nuggets are taking a chance on me."
