Pauly's Power Rankings

The title pretty much says it all, this will be updated after every sim. The factors determining the rankings are obviously record, current form, talent, and of course my own personal opinion. Comments and banter are encouraged
#29---Seattle Supersonics (16-66) [<->]
-The worst team in the league this year has been Seattle though the Hawks gave it a good shot. Going forward Darth has an arsenal of picks and a few overpaid guys coming off the books. Expect some good FA signings and smart drafting this offseason.
#28---Atlanta Hawks (19-63) [<->]
-It was an obvious rebuilding year for Atlanta and it went exactly according to that plan. Surprisingly he kept ahold of Desmond Mason and Antonio McDyess (contract is due to expire). He's got a top pick coming in a weak draft but that player will definitely have to shoulder the load to usher in a younger generation of Hawks.
#27---VanMemphis Grizzlies (22-60) [-1]
-Our first true disappointment so far, I had some high hopes on the Grizz this year but they never got it goin. Im honestly wondering if Pau can be the #1 guy on a contending team.
#26---Chicago Bulls (27-55) [-3]
-With Brad Miller and Mike Bibby about to come off the books the reins are truly going to move to S-Jax and Delonte. The question will be whether or not Hugo can rise up and make good deals this offseason and I cant gauge that because this guy doesnt post on the forum enough.
#25---Detroit Pistons (25-57) [-3]
-All that needs to be said in Detroit was that it was another clear rebuilding year. This offseason will be their most important in awhile. They will have a huge amount of money to spend in FA and another top pick. Time to announce yourself to the league as a competitor RB15
#24---Los Angeles Clippers (28-54) [+3]
-The Clippers are another team that had some talented individuals but it just didnt work out. They went through a firesale and without their upcoming pick they're gonna have to rely on Big Jamaal Magloire and Dermarr Johnson to lead this team next season. Yikes
#23---Cleveland Cavaliers (29-53) [+2]
-The Cleveland Chris Paul's are in a pickle. They werent good this year and they're going to have little turnover in next years squad. 42 is going to need to get creative if he wants his team to challenge for a playoff berth next year.
#22---Miami Heat (31-51) [+2]
-Another year for LeBron and another year he hasnt made the playoffs. The self-proclaimed "King" has an established game and he will keep getting better. The key will be the growth of Monta Ellis, hes very raw and improvement will be necessary for the future of this club.
#21---Golden State Warriors (31-51) [<->]
-The Warriors and Bow deserve a lot of credit. They were a talentless pit of garbage and managed 31 wins. This is your congratulations on a great season. Plenty of money coming off the books and a high first will make the fans excited
#20---Los Angeles Lakers (36-46) [<->]
-Most disappointing team in the league this year. They have Reggie Evans to sign in RFA and Larry Hughes in UFA. Is Tray willing to pay the price when the results this year showed that they didnt get it done? I have no idea.
#19---Portland Trail Blazers (38-44) [-1]
-3 RFAs and only 2 guys under contract for next year, there's gonna be a big shift in personnel in Portland. Kucoach tried to compete with Dirk and go for it, didnt work out. This time I feel he will go for the slow methodical rebuild. But he has the money to make a BIG splash.
#18---New Jersey Nets (37-45) [-1]
-The Nets have some talented pieces but the fit never really worked in my eyes. They dont have any reliable knockdown shooters and their inside guys are still very raw. Its a slashing team thats gonna try and out-athletic you. Dont think thats a viable team strategy.
#17---Indiana Pacers (38-44) [-4]
-Trade away your future picks and dont make the playoffs. Im a <expletive deleted> fool.
#16---New York Knicks (40-42)[+3]
-They squeaked their way into the playoffs but give Troll Lord credit, he made a big move in acquiring Brand and it paid off. Im very interested to see Yao and Melo in the playoffs for the first time.
#15---New Orleans Hornets (41-41)[<->]
-I think Nick should be happy to be at .500 this year. His core is still pretty young and while they will have a few holes to repair this offseason the future is bright in the Bayou especially if Big Zach continues to improve.
#14---Toronto Raptors (44-38)[-4]
-If you told anyone before the season started that David Wesley was the starting PG for a playoff team you would've been laughed outta the league, but somehow Sound managed to get it done. I hate to credit him but Sound is a frontrunner for Coach of the Year
#13---Phoenix Suns (43-39)[+1]
-Very happy they made it as Ive been on the Phoenix bandwagon since the early stages of the season. They are well rounded in every way but without a true star can they challenge in the playoffs?
#12---Washington Wizards (44-38) [+4]
-Got to give massive credit to Xist after a poor first half he really turned it around and made the playoffs with relative ease. The future of this team is in doubt because their ceiling seems to have been reached but a great GM can push them to new heights. Can the Wiz make some noise in the playoffs?
#11---Minnesota Timberwolves (46-36)[+1]
-The Wolves will go as far as Bosh will take them and at the ripe age of 22 that seems like it can be far. Shaq isnt the star he once was (even though his attributes show he should still be) but he can really effect things on both ends. They barely miss out on the Top 10
#10---Milwaukee Bucks (50-32)[-6]
-The 2nd seed of the East is the tenth best team right now in my book and obviously injuries have played a major factor in that. 1-9 in their last 10 and a current 6 game losing streak, this team hasnt won in awhile and its very possible that will affect them in their first round series.
#9---Houston Rockets (50-32)[-2]
-Here comes a logjam of Midwest teams, the Rockets are at 9. The tax problems in Houston have been well documented for the last few years and next year it seems they're finally out of that hell. But 78 wants to redeem himself from last years finals and get their again. Kidd and Ilgauskas will have be play fantastic for that to happen.
#8---Denver Nuggets (50-32) [+2]
-The exciting Nuggets are in the playoffs for the 2nd year in a row but this time with some former champions on their side in KG and Donyell Marshall. Wade underwhelmed last season but with a more talented supporting cast I expect Denver to make some noise.
#7---Utah Jazz (54-28)[+2]
-Even though their record is better than the next couple teams I dont believe they are as good. The broken leg of Loren Woods shouldnt play a big factor because they have Timmy. Speaking of Timmy D, after 700 games will these playoffs be the last time we see him in a Jazz uniform?
#6---Philadelphia 76ers (52-30)[+2]
-The defending champs barely miss out on the Top 5 but they are as dangerous as last year. Scola is going to have to be huge for them to be successful this time around without Big Shawn Bradley protecting the paint. Baron Davis is their alpha and all eyes are on him to be the man.
TOP 5
#5---San Antonio Spurs (50-32)[<->]
-An 8 game winning streak propels the Spurs above some other teams with better records. Their is no hotter team in the PBSL than them and with the combination of Dirk and Ray on offense and Josh and Calvin on the boards, they will be a tough out.
#4--- Boston Celtics (55-27)[+2]
-Boston didnt falter too much when they were weathering the storm known as Steve Francis' concussion. They firmly had the 3rd seed all year and we will see if Conroy can give some wisdom to his young frontcourt who appear ready to take the playoffs by the throat.
#3---Orlando Magic (62-20)[<->]
-You can make a case for Orlando to take the second spot but Im rewarding Dallas for their consistency at the Top. Orlando goes into the playoffs as the top seed in the East, they bowed out at the Conference Finals last time so the pressure is on to go further and win the whole damn thing.
#2---Dallas Mavericks (62-20)[-1]
-The Mavs drop to 2nd (although if i was able to update more often during the 2nd half they wouldve dropped sooner). The Kings just went on a tear and I dont wanna discredit Dallas at all because for a longggg time they were in fact the best and this is my testimonial to that.
#1---Sacramento Kings (69-13)[+1]
-This has been the best team all year, they have arguably the best player, and one of the best GM's. They are the Title Frontrunners.
#29---Seattle Supersonics (16-66) [<->]
-The worst team in the league this year has been Seattle though the Hawks gave it a good shot. Going forward Darth has an arsenal of picks and a few overpaid guys coming off the books. Expect some good FA signings and smart drafting this offseason.
