I stand at the podium next to Ben Wallace
Me: Sup bitches. Well I made it to the finals and lost to the game planning wizard and eventual champion Mr. Balls O'Hard. It was a shitty series to lose with three games decided by four points or less. I felt that it was a good yet disappointing season. After the series, I'm left with two choices. Go pretty deep into the tax and just contend by resigning some guys to just be another team, or rebuild or reset or whatever the hell it's called. So you know what I do?
Ben Wallace: He brings in Ben Motherwigging Wallace!
Me: I bring in Ben Motherwigging Wallace bitches. After that I trade Allen Iverson for the freak athlete Corey Magette. Then I resign franchise cornerstones Keith Van Horn and Penny Hardaway. By doing so, I'm going into unexplored territories of the tax. But you think I give a shit? You think Ben gives a shit?
Ben Wallace: Ben Wallace don't give a shit.
Me: You gotta do what you gotta do to win in this league. Now this team is the title favorite in the East. Aight, now who has questions?

2) I didnt know two east teams could face each other in the Finals. Weird.

Well, with the shit storm that is now the west, I feel that the ECF is equivalent to the NBA Finals. Bitch.

Dr. Rocker, The Cleveland Rocker: Isn't this just the main pieces and problems the Hawks failed to win with after their recent titles? What have you don't to make your team different so that you can succeed where Atlanta failed in recent years? If you do win, do you expect backlash like there was in Los Angeles after they won season before last?

It's the primary two pieces in Ben Wallace and Penny Hardaway that failed to win two years ago on that Hawks team. However I feel that this team has a much stronger supporting cast with Kyle Korver, Mike Miller and Keith Van Horn providing elite scoring on the wing and in the post. I also have Damon Jones, Corey Magette, Charles Smith, and Don Reid off the bench to form one of the strongest supporting casts in this league.
As for the backlash if I win, I don't believe I would receive any, as I built this team myself whereas the GM of the Lakers during their title season had someone else primarily build his team for him.

Do you intend to keep this entire roster or make some trades to lessen the tax blow? Even people in Houston think that's a really high tax.

Gonna see how the season goes and make moves based upon that. If I'm a top team, then I'll keep this team intact. If not, I'll try and make some moves.

Sports Guy Bill Simmons here, how will this team hold up to an 82 game grind. Will guys have planned rest days? 5 of the guys you've mentioned above are 30 or older.

If this team is at the top of the league standings, I may be able to find a couple rest days here and there for them.
