The shit storm that occurred in the waiting list was NOT the way this was to go down, but alas here we are.

The New York Knicks, as of 5:00pm CDT on November 13th, were made an open team, as Snuglife had not met the benchmarks of his warning and subsequent probation. A PM was sent after the 1st sim providing snuglife with a warning. The warning was issued because he:
- failed to participate in the draft
- failed to participate in RFA (no bids)
- failed to participate in UFA (no bids in any round)
- failed to participate in Training Camp submissions
- failed to submit a DC for the first sim
- hasn't logged onto the forum in 9 days (his warning still goes unread, btw)
- last POSTED on the forum on October 29th
- had received warnings in the past for lack of activity
In his warning, he was given the task of submitting DCs for his team in both Sim 2 and Sim 3's DC threads. If he missed one of the two he would be placed on probation. Probation essentially means "miss 1 and you're done". Since he missed both, it's unfortunate to say that the New York Knicks became open for a new GM to take over.

In the previous sim league, we would have to check-in in a thread during the offseason to verify a GM was active. However, we decided to forgo that when this league was created. An active GM is not someone who just checks in once and vanishes and does not fulfill GM duties (fielding a team, submitting DCs, participating in the offseason, etc). It is also understandable that sometimes shit comes up and you can't post a DC or forget to. I understand that.

Going forward, there will be a quantified baseline for GM removal. They are as follows:
- If you miss MORE THAN 5 DCs in one season, you will receive a warning at the end of the regular season. Also, going "same" after a sim of less than .500 MORE THAN 3 times will retroactively count as DC misses from the first same.
- After receiving a warning, if you miss any TWO parts of the post-season (DCs) or the offseason (Draft, FA, TC, and 1st DC), you will receive a 2nd warning.
- After receiving a 2nd warning, if you miss 1 DC, you will be put on probation. Probation means (as stated above) "miss 1 and you're done".
- If you miss 1 DC while on probation, you will no longer be the manager of your team.

If you go through an entire season with LESS THAN 2 misses, your team will be expunged of the initial warning. And as always, if something comes up where you know you may miss DCs/stuff, feel free to just shoot me a message and keep me posted.

Lastly, things on the forum have been getting a little chippy and there have been personal call-outs and attacks on more than one occasion. I do not mind a little bit of trolling and doggin' one another. BUT it's starting to get out of hand. A lot of us have been "together" doing sim league since 2011, and honestly, I speak and interact with you guys more than I do some friends and family. Honestly, I consider you all my friends. So don't put me in the difficult situation where I need to act as disciplinarian. I don't get paid for to deal with bullshit on here; hell, I don't get paid to do any of this at all. I do this because I enjoy the league, and if people start getting at ends, it gets less fun for all parties involved. Some people on here are a little more harsh with their shots, and some people are a little more sensitive to comments than others. We are all different in that, but if it's getting to the point of people quitting because of comments of others, then something has to change. Fix it.

One last thing: You cannot claim a team that is nont available. End of story. This situation is slightly unique, in that Wig knew snug was no longer a GM and brought in a replacement. Troll Lord IS the new GM of the Knicks, but as mentioned, going forward, you CANNOT claim a team until they are listed as being available on the wait list.

I'd like to build off of what Doug said at the end in a less diplomatic way than he can.
So don't put me in the difficult situation where I need to act as disciplinarian. I don't get paid for to deal with bullshit on here; hell, I don't get paid to do any of this at all.
Doug works his ass off and the last thing he needs is adults acting like little babies and picking fights. Before you get ready to be a keyboard warrior, really think about whether it is worth it. Why does it matter? And if you don't like someone in the league, ignore them and move on. There's a way to block posts. You don't have to interact with a person.

If someone disagrees with you (like the certain babies that will disagree with this), either try to solve it amicably via PM or just ignore them outright. It's not hard to ignore someone. It really, really, REALLY isn't. If someone attacks me in this response, I'll probably ignore you.

RB and CG (and now Troll Lord I guess) are the only children in this place. We're adults. Let's Fryeing act like it.
