Wasn't peeler acquired in the offseason? This can't go through until after Sim 3.

Okay. Sorry Chad. I thought the counter started before sim 1. I acquired Peeler before RFA so figured 60 days would of passed by then.

That's how it actually should work if we're being honest. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I mean, why isn't 60 days actually 60 days. Isn't this simulating the real NBA!?!? Sounds like a suggestion thread issue to me.

Real NBA: NBA offseason acquisitions cannot be traded until Dec 15. It's like real life. People need to stop using the 60-day rule term for things that don't apply.... lol It would be alot less confusing!

this was in polling place from like 4 seasons ago...
IamQuailman wrote:viewtopic.php?f=37&t=526

Currently, any player acquired in off-season must wait until Dec 15 in game before being trade eligible. Exception is a sign-and-trade, where a player may be re-signed by his previous team and then traded "immediately" to the recipient of the trade. "Immediately" is defined as "trade must be posted PRIOR TO THE NEXT FA SIM/OFF-SEASON ACTIVITY SIM".

Proposal: If you re-sign a player that played for you in the previous season, that player may be eligible for trade immediately, throughout off-season, preseason, sims 1 and 2, and beyond (immune to the Dec 15 trade restriction).

2 Options:
As Is
Remove Trade Restriction

REMEMBER: If you do not vote in each proposition and do not post "SUBMITTED" in each proposition thread, you are NOT eligible for voting participation points.

Yea the confusion comes from the use of "60 day rule" when in fact that isn't the case. I was duped.

We'll work this out Darth. ;)

Ok, I'm incorrect. The NBA only does this restrcition on the FA signings. However, the game requires you wait until Dec 15. We are keeping it simple (and how it has always been) by making it all off-season acquisitions.

I mean for me. These dickholes have caused me to edit several deals because of poorly worded bullshit, weird ass rules, and similar shit.

Like waiting 1 sim to trade a signed some retread, but 3 after the offseason trades. That's fine, but it's not intuitive.

If it's ALL written down somewhere, please point me to it again.

It get this and the hokey ass actual cap all confuzzled, too. Thus swapping points shit is a loophole. No UFA capholds allows so much shit.

I need to propose some shit, and that amnesty (finally).

If you could read, you'd be incensed, braaaahhhhhhh.

Good job on Goldwire. He can likely still hit some 3's.

Yeah, not sure that's everything. It's so unclear on your case, or maybe a similar one. What about a trade in the draft? Do you have to wait? That's not free agency... And more.

The two part trade thing is so vague it's not funny.

I can sign a guy before sim 1, trade him after sim 1, but the same guy at the end of the FFA I have to wait until after sim 3?

Before sim 1 would be FA, so that would wait until after 3rd sim. Once the first sim happens you only have to wait 1 sim. That's my understanding. The confusion here came from the use of "60 day rule" to describe this scenario, when actually it's a wait until the 3rd sim if you sign anyone after the championship and before sim 1.

Before sim 1 is but after FFA is still FA? Makes no sense.

It just a way to simplify it I think. We are not calling it "FA. " more like any acquisition in the offseason has to wait until December 15th. That's at least my interpretation after reading the rules and talking to quail about this trade.

So what you said is simple. What is written doesn't say that. The offseason schedule even uses wording consistent with my claim.
