Starting this season (S12, 1991-92), we will be implementing an Ant-Tanking rule. This is the first time we are having something like this in place so if we feel there needs to be changes made to it, we will adjust accordingly. We want everyone to have fun but also believe that teams shouldn't be rewarded for purposefully sabotaging their season(s).
So with that the new rule is as follows:
Should a team finish below 15 wins for the entire season, they will not be eligible to earn points for computer awards as well as wins/win streaks. So any points accumulated that show up on the index will not be eligible to be claimed. Media points are still available. So articles/memes/pressers/etc. you can still earn those points.
Also, should a team finish below 15 wins, they will not be eligible for the draft lottery. Meaning we will run the lottery without that team and they will be automatically placed at pick #12 (or lower if we expand to more teams).
Again, we want to try and keep this league competitive so hopefully this will deter some blatant tanking. If we feel the need to revisit this, we will
