S11 1990 Cavs Preseason Presser

Welcome to the Cavs Preseason Presser. We are pleased to welcome the league's favorite GM jlmarines.

GM jlmarines: Last season was a roller-coaster. We made aggressive trades and signed PG/SG Sleepy Floyd which helped us to make it to the playoffs. Unfortunately we couldn't compete with elite players. We continue to struggle on defense. Our opponents score a lot of points against us. During this off-season we focused on defensive players.

GM jlmarines: We threw a lot of cash for top free agents. We are thrilled to signed C Nick Vanos. Vanos is a fighter and he will punch you in the face to get rebounds. In addition, Vanos is an elite blocker. We also resigned PG Sleepy Floyd during free agent. PG Floyd is a fearless style player. Floyd is a great defender, and will steal your lunch money at a speed of light. We are thrilled to have him back.

GM jlmarines: We are pleased with PF Horace Grant diet this offseason. PF Grant brings leadership, and not afraid to score points in the paint. Grant ate Tuna only and drink water. We expect a monster year for Grant.

GM jlmarines: Let's not forget our future hall-of-famers PG Michael Adams. Adams is ready to destroy anyone in front of him and sent them back to the G-League. During this off-season Adams and SF/SG Dell Curry never left the Cavs training camp. Both called home and told their respective family, basketball comes first. Family can wait. Adams and Curry both gained massive muscle weight and speed during this offseason. Feeling inspired, SG Vernon Maxwell and PG Mookie Blaylock canceled family vacation and returned to Cleveland to lift weights with Adams and Curry.

GM jlmarines: Overall, our young studs are ready to step up. We are pleased with our starting 5. Stay tune Cleveland are not done yet.

GM jlmarines: Here's are starting 5 for the current moment and subject to change:

C: Rick Mahorn
And/Or C: Nick Vanos
PF: Horace Grant
SF: Dell Curry
SG: Vernon Maxwell
PG: Michael Adams
6th: Mookie Blaylock
Honorable Mention: Sleepy Floyd

What do you have to say to the league's GMs that think you are actually Angry Banana?
Also, have you thought about training Grant a little bit?

Nick Melon; Charlotte Observer: Was there ever a thought of letting Dell Curry walk in RFA or did you have every intention to bring him back. Hence, no external negotiations?

Based on other GMs sending trade requests, I'm thinking he's close in being blue. Yes, that's part of the plan to train Grant.
Are you not entertained? Yes, I'm the league's favorite GM. I am AB's hero. AB knows I'm the best there is, the best there was, and the best there ever will be. Go Cavs!

Yes, I was planning to bring Dell Curry but I wasn't expecting a max deal. I was hoping much cheaper. But, that's part of the game. Thank you for you attention on this matter. Go Cavs!

Steve Duin, the Oregonian:

Any concerns about Rick Mahorn's durability as he ages into one of the league's elder statesmen at Center?
