S10 1989 Cavs Preseason Presser

Welcome to the Cavs Preseason Presser. We are pleased to welcome the league's favorite GM jlmarines.

GM jlmarines: Last season was a roller-coaster. We made a few expensive trades but nothing worked. We traded for a few veterans players but unfortunately they didn't produce. We continue to struggle on defense. Our opponents score a lot of points against us. To make matter worse, we didn't score points. We were averaging only 106 pts per game.

GM jlmarines: We decided to fire few sorry ass players. We didn't attempted to bring them back. During the offseason, our priority was to upgrade the defensive side. We threw a lot of cash for top free agents. I thought I had a solid UFA but apparently there was a technical difficult and there was a resim, which caused a blue player to signed to another team. So there's that. But, there are some good news. We signed few players that will help our depth chart. We resigned our top target PF David Greenwood during free agent. PF Greenwood is a fearless style player. We are thrilled to have him back.

GM jlmarines: We are pleased to signed SF Don Collins. SF Collins brings leadership, initiate contact in order to make plays, and can score points. Collins is so elite he will steals your shoes. We are excited to have him in our team.

GM jlmarines: We are also pleased to draft PG Mookie Blaylock. Blaylock is a freak. He has never had a turnover in his entire life. He's going to be special.

GM jlmarines: Of course, let's not forget our future hall-of-famers PG Michael Adams. Adams is a freak and a proven winner. He runs faster than speed of light. Adams is ready to destroy anyone in front of him and sent them back to the G-League. Admas doesn't even need water. He's going to make noise this season.

GM jlmarines: Overall, we are pleased with our starting 5. We will try to trades for veterans that will bring help from the bench. Stay tuned we are not done yet.

GM jlmarines: Here's are starting 5 for the current moment and subject to change:

C: Rick Mahorn
PF: David Greenwood
SF: Don Collins
SG: Dell Curry
PG: Michael Adams
6th: Horace Grant
Honorable Mention: Mookie Blaylock

Second year player Vernon Maxwell looks like he wants to contribute more this year, but his development way not be there quite yet. What role do you see for him on this team, and how is his outlook being evaluated for the future of the Cavs?

GWR: I know it’s the preseason, but do you think your top defense is sustainable in the regular season, and what is the key to ensuring that it is?

What kind of sustained success will the Cavaliers need to have as a franchise for your team to be no longer considered a feeder franchise for the Boston Celtics & Dallas Mavericks run by shadow GM @AngryBanana?

Do you think Grant is close to taking a starting role or will he be always be a solid role player?

Steve Duin, the Oregonian...

Rick Mahorn seems ageless, but we know Father Time is undefeated. What are you looking for in a big man to potentially replace him?

Agree. He wants to contribute but he's inconsistent in practice. I was hoping he was going to step up as a starter but he's currently struggling. At the current moment he will continue being on the bench as a contributor. Thank you for your great question.

Only if my starting 5 doesn't get injured. My bench players are not ready to fill the void due to injury. Hoping for a healthy season. Thank you for the great question.

I really hate those losers. Can't stand K100 and AB. I'm hoping for Michael Adams to become a purple player. Adams can be a game changer. I just need to find 1 more elite player to compliment Adams. Thanks for the question.

Yes very close. Don't be surprised he becomes the starter during the season.

Agree. Rick Mahorn is a legend. Mahorn diet consists of dipping tobacco, smoking and drinking. He's just a natural freak. However, he's getting older. I will be active on the next draft and hopefully find Mahorn replacement. Thank you for the great question.
