Rule Changes Proposal
Posted: Sat Mar 28, 2026 5:11 pm
Good day beautiful people (I apologize for the long message),
I recently took the liberty of going through the suggestions thread in the forum and decided to put together a league wide vote for some of the suggestions. I would like to get everyone's votes in sooner rather than later so we can have as much discussion about these changes, if needed, as possible.
Any vote that passes, WILL NOT be implemented this season. It will wait until at least next season (S10 1989-90).
I have put together this message to give an idea of what the rules changes could look like. These are not final rule changes, some proposals could change depending on the votes.
PLEASE TAKE THE TIME TO READ EVERYTHING BEFORE RESPONDING TO ME WITH ANY QUESTIONS OR CONCERNS. THE LINK TO VOTE IS AT THE BOTTOM OF THIS MESSAGE
There will be three options for each vote: “YES” “NO” “YES, BUT NOT THIS FORMAT”
The first two options are self explanatory but just in case, “YES” means you are voting for the role proposal that I have included in this message. “No” means you do not agree with the rule proposal and you do not wish to see any change regarding it. “YES BUT NOT THIS FORMAT” means you are open to the idea of this proposal, but would maybe like to see it done a little differently.
Again, none of these are final, AND none of these will be implemented this season, so please do not blow up the chat if you disagree with any rule changes. But you are welcome to politely discuss it or reach out to me if you have any questions. The earliest these rules changes would be implemented would be S10, 1989-90
Below are the Rule Changes Proposals:
1. Being able to train a player INTO Purple potential. As of now, this is not allowed. If a GM submits a paid training and it puts that player into purple potential, it will be deemed invalid. By changing this rule, GMs will be allowed to train a player’s potential INTO purple, and then all training will stop there. If allowed, GMs will be asked to submit their trainings in order of priority. If you submit 3 trainings for one player (For example: INS potential, STR, and JMP, in that order) then I will input the trainings in that order until the player’s potential hits purple (151 rating). So if INS and STR put it at 151 or above, I will then notify the GM that the JMP training is now invalid.
2. Training 3PT Usage. There is an attribute that does not appear on the index named “3P Usage”. Essentially this attribute is related to how often a player wants to shoot a 3PT shot. Higher rating means higher frequency to want to shoot 3s. Now this is also correlated to the Gameplan so if you run a 0 3P Usage, then your player is unlikely to take many 3s, and vice versa.
3. Personal Foul Rating Floor of 20. Self explanatory. Any player that has a PF rating of 19 or below, will be automatically put to a rating of 20. The argument here is that anybody with a rating of 0 is virtually unusable and would take multiple seasons to get to a point to be able to give meaningful minutes.
4. Eliminate 5 asset trade limit? Yes or No
5. Prorated B to A potential training. As of now, if you wish to train a player’s potential from B to A, it costs 30 points. Regardless of if your player’s rating is 65 or 80. It costs the same 30 points to go up 20 points as it does to go up 5 points. The proposal is a prorated amount so it will entice people a bit more to want to train up to the 85 max. Now we are still going from B to A so it won’t be cheap to be able to make the jump regardless of what rating number the player is. So my suggestion is as follows: a rating of 61-65=30pts, 66-75=25, 76-80=20pts.
As stated multiple times earlier, none of these are final proposals and none of these will be implemented this season. I merely just want to gauge everybody’s interest in the possibility of making any changes to these rules. If you like the proposal, vote “YES”. If you don’t like it, vote “NO”. If you’re open to a change in a certain rule but not the one I suggested, vote “YES BUT NOT THIS FORMAT” Also, if you’re open to the change but not what I proposed, please message me with your suggestion(s). I would love to hear everybody’s opinions on how to make the league just a little bit more fun for everyone.
