How the West will be won!
Hello everyone. New season, new expectations. We're very happy with the addition of Antonio Daniels. Even though we gave up a great prospect in Kirk Hinrich, we feel Daniels give us a key perimter guy to join Big Z and CWebb. We definitely hope this group can help us have a big season.
Our starting lineup will look like this.
C - Big Z
PF - CWebb
SF - Tyrone Nesby
SG - Rick Fox
PG - Antonio Daniels
We signed Nesby this offseason to give us a solid wing performer and brought back Rick Fox to give us stability at the SG spot with Bryant Stith and Terry Dehere.
Our 2nd unit will look like this.
C - David Robinson
PF - Dontonio Wingfield
SF - Lamond Murray
SG - Bryant Stith
PG - Travis Best
We were happy to bring back David Robinson to give us a quality backup as well as be a mentor to DeSagna Diop who we expect to provide quality minutes when needed. Travis Best and Randy Livingston are solid PGs and we hope Lamond Murray and Sean Elliott can bring scoring off the bench.
Really our backup PF is a question mark. Wingfield beat out Gary Trent this preseason, but don't be surprised if we use Robinson and Diop together off the bench. Also, the bench could be entirely different after the trade deadline if these guys don't pan out.
Expectations have increased this year. We expect to be a playoff team and plan to make a long run.
We'll be taking questions now.
