Who has drawn your interest in the draft?
Who's the best player?
Who is unique?
Who do you expect to be available when you pick?

Rules: 1 point if you give thoughtful answers, which I will award after the timer ends for responses. The timer ends for responses at the moment the corresponding week's Sim is run.

Note: Use approximately 5 sentences as your bare minimum for 1 point. If you write 3 long, complex sentences, you'll still get a point. If you write 5, 3 word sentences, you will not get a point. Don't @ me.

Due: before Conference Finals end.

This is the kind of question where all the teams with lottery picks are going to be deflecting, hoping that "their guy" falls to them if they don't win the lottery. Fortunately, I have pick #23, so you're not going to get deflection from me.

As to who's the best player, I think the answer is simple... it's Patrick Ewing. I know Chris Mullin shows up with Purple potential, but as I've said before, I really don't care about three-point shooting ratings at this stage of the league because teams just aren't taking them (the 76ers led the league with 1.8 threes made this season) and if I ignore Mullin's three-point shooting, Ewing just seems better.

The guy who has both drawn my interest and whom I think is most unique? It's Joe Dumars... because I've never seen a 0 DRB rating outside of a red player... is he that allergic to rebounds that he can't even get one to fall into his lap? I think he's going to be a really weird player... good scorer, almost point guard-like handles and passing, incredible perimeter D potential... and offers absolutely nothing on the glass, no post defense whatsoever, and no shot-blocking. A lot of our SGs still have post games at this juncture so I worry if a player that is 100% perimeter and 0% interior can survive.

John Battle should be available when I pick at #23. His 1 DRB rating makes him a Joe Dumars-lite, right? ;)

I will go the complete opposite route of Wig. I am the first pick of the draft right now. I also think that I will drop, because this game hates the Celtics and will Frye me. So I expect at best to be #2. With that being the case, I’m going to deflect.

I think the best pick is Detlef Schempf. He was in Parks and Rec after all, but also was a hell of a baller back in the day. But also a 97 jump on a guy who is 6-10 is pretty wild. As a team in the dumps, I will have lots of points to boost him elsewhere.

The most interesting is Spud Web or Maunte Bol. This is becauseit is both the shortest and The tallest players we will se for a long time in PBSL. Plus height can’t be trained so let’s see how their careers differ. As far as who will be available,

I think they all will be because I’m pick number one right now. If I am pick number two, Schempf will be off the board so I will have everyone minus him available.

Who has drawn your interest in the draft?
I'll be honest I'm not gonna say who has drawn my interest because I do have hopes of trading up for a certain player and don't want to take a chance on someone reading this and making a bigger move on the player I want or the person who holds the pick asks for more.

Who's the best player?
Best player right now is a tie between Patrick Ewing and Terry Porter. Both are ready to play now in their own ways. I think we are still in a "big" dominated league so I give the edge to Ewing. It's not going to take him long to become and elite center in this league and may be the front runner for ROY, depending on which team he goes to.

Who is unique?
Manute Bol might be who I pick for unique player mainly because of him being so tall. Doesn't mean he's going to be great but he will cause issues down low. His quickness, or lack thereof, is what will keep him from becoming a top tier center.

Who do you expect to be available when you pick?
For where my pick is now, I don't expect anybody of importance to be available. There's only 20 green potential players and I have pick 21 so I'm either looking to trade up or trade out.

I don't really ascribe to the waking people up theory that much.
The people who are bad at evaluating talent mostly have the worst teams and the top picks.
I don't have action at those picks unless I'm going to trade for them and there are many players worth trading for.
I think if you have action you take Terry Porter.
He is the player I would believe I could rebuild around.
Mullin and Ewing are also cornerstones, and then it comes down to what kind of help you want from a supporting role player.
I like what Michael Adams is bringing to the table and Detlef will be nothing to play with.
I expect that by the time I get to pick Manute Bol might drop too me.
I'll be Happy to work with that defense.
He'll fit well in my front court.
But Jerry Reynolds might be worth passing on a green potential and let the Sonics have Bol.
