If my SuperSonics were healthy, I might pick me to win but not having two starters for at least the first four games makes this an uphill struggle for my team so I gotta pick the Kings to win. Especially since they just won two games against me to finish out the season. But if this series get to game 6 and/or 7, I can see me winning it since I may have my team healthy by then and not sure if the Kings offense will be able to beat my defense. Still, I wouldn’t be surprised if it’s another 5 game exit for my SuperSonics on what was looking like a promising season

I have to go with the Kings here, and as was already pointed out, the difference here is the Sonics are down Mychal Thompson and Darwin Cook. Of the two, I think Cook is the more significant injury; Danny Schayes can do a decent Mychal Thompson impression, but Ron Brewer and Mitchell Wiggins can't give the lockdown defense Cook brought on the defensive end. That's going to let either English or Gervin get loose and go nuts and that's probably going to let the Kings win this series.

This is pretty easy. Health matters at this time of the year. The Sonics could challenge with a few games if they were fully healthy, but I still don't think they would win this series. The health is going to make this a quick one. Kings in 4.

This sucks for the Sonics, because I think they beat the kings with their full roster. Darth cannot be underestimated in the playoffs, though, so they will give it everything they got while the so pics are still trying to heal. I think the kings go for the jugular and maybe the sonics escape losing a gentleman’s sweep.
Coming soon, though, are a Sonics team you do NOT want to face in the playoffs..

This is a very interesting series strictly based on the injuries.
Cook and Thompson are big pieces of this squad, but can Seattle compete without them?
Or maybe, can they compete with them at half strength, and at what point would BD try to push them into the lineup?
If you insert a player who has 6 days on the IR into a playoff series, what kind of production can you expect?
The Sonics actually surprised me by how they closed out the season, which lends to a cohesive team with good depth.
The Kings are a good fit of a roster.
I love the Lister-Johnson combo for defense and offensive anchors, and adding battle tested scoring on the wing only makes them more dangerous.
While they are not as deep of a team as Seattle, these injuries kind of equalize that advantage and I like the opportunity for Darth to game plan and take advantage.
Kings in 5.
