I kinda feel like it’s crazy to not pick the bulls but I’m gonna go with the Pacers winning this series. They won the last 3 games against the bulls and even though it’s only by one game, they have a winning road record where the Bulls have a losing road record. I see the pacers winning in 6 games after they steal one of the first two on the road.

It's tough to pick against the Bulls, but I'm going to do it anyway. The Pacers won the season series, 4-2 (and were 2-0 after acquiring Dennis Johnson). Adrian Dantley is going to more or less offset Calvin Natt's production most nights and I think the combination of the three-name-bigs (Kareem Abdul-Jabbar and Joe Barry Carroll) have the edge on the Bulls' big men (especially LaSalle Thompson) in terms of scoring. I do think the Bulls might strongly consider sitting Craig Hodges and giving Purvis Short all the minutes he can handle at SG, that might offset the frontcourt edge, but ultimately, I think the Bulls are a little too Natt-dependent and one bad game from Natt (or one explosion from Dantley) is the difference.

As stated, and reiterated, It's crazy to go against the Bulls!
So I'm not doing it.
I definitely see the Pacers winning some games, but I think they are woefully short handed.
This Chicago team has some solid depth pieces coming off their bench, and multiple scoring options if they need someone to step up.
They never do need it though, because Natt is consistent.
Walking Bucket.
Mo Cheeks is also instrumental as a floor general.
One of the top guards in the league for sure.

Something that is not being talked about his health. The last time I played against the pacers, LaSalle got hurt. So he only played 8 minutes and the Pacers only won by one point. That was the only Sim with my full starting lineup since the all star break. This version of the Pacers has never seen a fully healthy Bulls team. The rebound advantage will definitely be with Chicago and the free throws will be the difference.

Bulls in 6.

Gotta take the Bulls here. Whereas the Pacers have been great, they haven’t gotten better. The Bulls have been working every season on getting better and they’re probably the best they have ever been now. I think, fully healthy, the Bulls rout the pacers in 4. The pacers can definitely split at home but I see a close game four coming down to a single basket victory for the Bulls.

I’m also always left wondering when the pacers might rebuild to gain some assets, but they haven’t yet and are still in the playoffs, so what do I know??
