Good afternoon, everyone, and thank you for coming. We're here today to talk about the 1984 New Jersey Nets, a team that has shown incredible heart and determination this past season.

Our roster, a blend of veteran leadership and young talent, truly came together. We saw outstanding performances from our guards, Fat Lever and Larry Drew, who were a dynamic force on offense and defense. Lead the way by our front court of Dawkins, Robinson and the rookie Dale Ellis. We saw that any one of them could take over the game in a moment's notice. We also have to address the tremendous work Fat Lever did to overcome his broken leg and thank the medical staff for all the breakthroughs they made in the rehab process.

We’ve seen incredible performances across the board. Our veteran leaders, like the powerful Darryl Dawkins and the experienced Larry Drew, have been instrumental in guiding our younger players. Dawkins’s presence in the paint is a constant force, and Drew's veteran savvy at the point guard position has kept our offense running smoothly.

Our young talent has also truly shined. Dale Ellis, in his second year, has proven to be a dynamic force on the wing, showcasing a scoring ability that has been vital to our success. And what can you say about Fat Lever? He's a playmaker with an all-around game that makes him a threat every time he touches the ball. He’s been a revelation for us.
As we look ahead, we are excited about the future. Our success this year is a testament to the hard work of every player and coach, and we are committed to building on this momentum for many seasons to come. We believe the future of basketball in New Jersey is incredibly bright.

We also can't forget the vital contributions of our big men, Herb Williams and Cliff Robinson, and the energy we hope will be brought by rookies Tony Campbell and Eddie Lee Wilkins. Every single player on this roster has played a part in our success. We’re excited about the future and are committed to building on this winning culture.

Thank you. Now I'll open it up to questions.

If this season sees a slow start, do you think there will be a need for a shake up?

Steve Duin, the Oregonian...

Compare Fat Lever to the Six Million Dollar Man... how did you rebuild him better?
