Who is about to go off?
I think the Bulls are going to go off on the Pistons and handle them pretty easily. Pistons are new to the playoffs and don't think they have enough to compete anywhere close to the level of the Bulls. Wouldn't be surprised if this ends in a sweep

Who will single handedly carry their team through the 1st round?
The MVP of course. Magic Johnson seems poised to score 30+ every single game while having some really explosive games to bring the Lakers to the next round. The Jazz are good but it's clear that nobody can stop Magic

Who will unexpectedly come up big and be pivotal in securing a win?
If anybody will come out of nowhere and be clutch for a team to secure a win it's going to be Danny Schayes. If he can slow down Bill Cartwright while also put up some more points, he will be the reason the Supersonics somehow pull off the upset.

Who is going to choke?
If any team is going to "choke" it will be the Cavaliers. Even though they have the better record, I think the Nets are more than capable of taking care of business and stealing a win or two in this series. The Cavaliers are a good team but they just seem to not match up that well against the Nets

I'm taking Moncrief to go off.
It looks like Paxson is a nice compliment, but I think when the games get tighter he fades and more falls on Moncrief.
My unexpected performance will be David Corzine who will reach back into some muscle memory and pull major boards which will swing a game.
And my choke will be Kelly Tripucka who gets torched by Dominique Wilkins
