Nuggets Championship Press Conference

The room quickly fills up, every seat is taken, people are lining the walls, waiting to hear from the SLOE NPBSL 1982 National Champions.
The lights turn out.
A single spotlight hits the door.
Suddenly, we hear a subpar voice start to sing:
“I've paid my dues
Time after time
I've done my sentence
But committed no crime
And bad mistakes
I've made a few
I've had my share of sand
Kicked in my face
But I've come through
And we mean to go on and on and on and on”
At this point Jedihero literally kicks the door open and runs down the open middle lane finishing with a power knee slide with a half turn so he ends facing the press members:
“We are the champions, my friends
And we'll keep on fighting till the end
We are the champions
We are the champions
No time for losers
'Cause we are the champions of the World!”
“HELLO EVERYONE AND WELCOME TO THE DENVER NUGGETS NATIONAL CHAMPIONS PRESS CONFERENCE!
Hope y’all are having as wonderful a day as we had in the playoffs last season. What a time to be alive. Let’s get into this shall we?
I mean, how do we even start right? Just WOW. I told you from the draft that Alex English was one special kid, and that it was absolutely a mistake from every other GM that picked in front of me to pass him up. 63 points?! In game 5 to put the series to bed. GTFO. MVP of the finals no contest. Let’s not forget his surrounding cast, John Lucas, 2nd season in a row he’s averaging a double double, and Dan Roundfield, I knew he was my guy. 1981 we came up a little short literally and figuratively, so I knew we needed to run out and grab a solid big to have a chance, and Dan delivered. Star studded cast that blew everyone out of the water in the playoffs.
The bad news: look we had some hiccups and injuries in the regular season, and we lost the division by only 1 game after a close fight with the Kings all the way through, but I think we showed them by beating them 6-0 in the playoffs……wait it was only 4 games? But I thought for sure…. ok if you say so….4-0 in the playoffs, we know what team was really the best in the division.
Now, let me get ahead of the questions I know will be coming.
No we did not make any offseason moves, and we gave away our draft pick to get Dan so all we had to hang our hat on was Free Agency. Where to be honest, we didn’t get any of the topmost sought after talents….ring ring….hello?…hey Quailman, No I do not want Orr…click.
BUT I know people, and I went after who I thought would give us the best chance to help this team get back to the Championship series where they belong, and yes, we are trying to get back into the playoffs and compete one more time.
Alrighty, enough ranting from the best GM ever, about the best team ever. Who wants to ask me a question about how great we were?
