Updated after 1987 Offseason

NOT TRADING (Can't trade by rule, RFA signings this off-season, don't ask):
  • Randy Breuer
  • Steve Stipanovich
  • Sedale Threatt
TALK TO ME AFTER 12/15 (Off-season acquisitions, can't trade them until then)
  • Jim Peterson - Rebounds, blocks shots, scores enough to keep people honest - not star, but probably a low grade starter or high grade backup big that won't make a lot of mistakes. Would probably want a prospect with similar potential or a mid-first round pick in return.
  • Tony Campbell - I find him intriguing as a fairly athletic scorer off the bench, and he has RFA rights. Willing to move him to a new home fairly cheap (think points only).
WILLING TO MOVE:
  • Kelly Tripucka - Finals MVP in 1985. In his prime. Excellent scorer. Looking for a high-grade starter, preferably a defensive-minded wing stopper or two-way center that isn't a chucker on offense. Has averaged almost 20 ppg for his career and is a high-grade starter; I expect him to be valued as such in trade offers - he'd probably be the centerpiece in a trade package. I'm fine keeping him as well, but he's probably the best player on my squad I'm fine with moving, and I think given his age, contract, and talent, he's at least as good value as most other starting SG/SFs off their rookie deal.
  • Quintin Dailey - Signed to a below-minimum, long-term deal (how? I signed him last season near last season's minimum numbers - when the salary cap and vet minimums jumped up this season, his contract was already locked in at last year's rates), this guy isn't even in his prime yet and can average double digits off the bench in 20 mpg. In my head, he's probably worth a late first or more and I'm not super-excited about the idea of moving him, but I'm willing to listen if someone wants him, as the Sedale Threatt RFA contract match probably means he isn't seeing the court much this season.
  • Mark Acres - Cheap bench depth/salary filler for trades. Can be had for points.
  • Frank Brickowski - Cheap bench depth/salary filler for trades. Can be had for points.
  • Mark Brown - Cheap bench depth/salary filler for trades. Can be had for points.
NOT LOOKING TO MOVE (but always willing to be overpaid):
  • Steve Johnson, A.C. Green, James Worthy, Johnny Newman, Lester Conner - These are my starters, and I expect to be competitive. If I were to move them it would need to be for an upgrade (probably packaged with other lesser of my assets) or younger depth (think multiple prospects and/or first round picks, and given my roster constraints, picks are more attractive to me right now than prospects).
