digiskunk: Welcome to the 1980 Philadelphia 76ers pre-season press conference! As you all know, this is a huge season: After re-setting the league and rolling back time to the year 1980, we were able to start with a clean slate. I relinquished my role as GM for the Utah Jazz and had the wonderful opportunity to manage my hometown team, the Philadelphia 76ers—a job that I'd die for. So, I took it.

What's there to say next? Oh, yeah, we managed to draft a shit ton of great players. We're practically playoff material compared to what we had with the Utah Jazz lineup we had last season. We picked up key targets such as Mychal Thompson, Mike Woodson, and Gerald Henderson; however, we did not grab nearly enough big men to really compete in this older era of basketball. However, these players are still going to be key assets heading into the future: As the game slowly begins to change, these players will become much more valuable.

Next, let's discuss strategy this upcoming season. As previously stated, I wanted to build a team around big men—but due to unforeseen circumstances in the draft, I ended up with with a lot of great jump shooters instead. I plan on utilizing these traits to gain an advantage against other teams, who are slower and limited to 2-pointers since nobody can shoot 3s yet. However, I am still going to struggle both offensively and defensively. This is best illustrated by our 0-6 preseason record + the fact that Mychal Thompson actually leads the team is points, rebounds, all that jazz, which is absolutely ridiculous. Preposterous, even.

What happens next is to be seen, but it's going to be an interesting season that's for dang sure.

There isn't really much more to discuss; so far we'll have to wait and see. I'll now be taking questions!

Generic Wolves Reporter: Tell me about your first draft choice. Were you actually convinced you drafted Michael Cooper, or did you just want to have a bit of fun with us?

Oh, no, I was definitely hellbent on getting Michael Cooper but, in the midst of my excitement, turns out I grabbed Mychal Thompson instead. However, that mistake proved to be a blessing in disguise, as I didn't draft [m]any big men after that (lucky me). But, it's also worth noting that Mychal is a hard-working athlete who will undoubtedly do things here.

What? the forum time is correct now?

Moses Malome, Bay Area News Group: Hey digi, late to the presser here. Are you sure you're not able to answer questions asked after the sim because you posted your presser so late? In the previous future PBSL era that was a thing...

Have you thought of renaming Mychal Thompson to Mychal "Michael Cooper" Thompson? kinda like how Macauley Culkin (in the future) changed his middle name to Macauley Culkin?
