This seems to be at the crux of many discussions. Let's vote.

Let's just remove Doug from the bucks, he seems to be the issue here. :p

I think the vote is fairly clear, but only 15 votes in. Would like to at least get to 20 before finally putting this to bed.

Eh, not so sure about that. Tyranny of the majority. No self-serving reason for playoff teams to say tanking is an issue, no self-serving reason for those in the lead position for the lottery to complain. The clear expectation should be a minority of people complaining, with maybe a few more recognizing the issue. The people complaining are likely not complaining about taking so much as complaining about tanking interfering with their attempts to get a decent pick or offloading their assets preferentially to certain teams rather than throughout the league.

Well when the league decided to go to a format of voting, this was no doubt a consequence. Sometimes the majority will be wrong. Sometimes the majority will be right. #democracyproblems

To be perfectly clear, the question is poorly posed, people define tanking differently, is doesn't mention who the problem affects or how, and it was asked on a bad day. Frankly, no one has actually said why it's bad despite me asking repeatedly point blank, save for one mention of how it makes things less "fun." In the end, what people have a problem with is stupidity and having their earnest efforts thwarted not by luck or "the better man," but by stupidity of third parties. Not sure who will agree or admit, but this is what get reading between the lines.

This seem more of a poll than a vote. The majority can determine law, but they do not determine accuracy or truth. No issue with democratic establishment of rules in this setting.
