Rules: 1 point if you give thoughtful answers which I will award after the timer ends for responses. The timer ends for responses at the moment the corresponding week's Sim is run.

Note: Use approximately 5 sentences as your bare minimum for 1 point. If you write 3 long, complex sentences, you'll still get a point. If you write 5 3 word sentences, you will not get a point. Don't @ me.

Due: Sim 10 deadline.

If I you could pick one song to be your team’s best theme song for the year, what is it and why?

This season has almost wholly been about embracing and celebrating the end of Safi's run in Los Angeles. Or at the very least, the end of him being the main star for the franchise. After the championship last season, I've always felt that a season where I reset but completely built a season around Safi would be a great epilogue to his prime. He's the first true superstar that I drafted and built and is my favorite player I've ever had. This season has led me to writing articles again even. We'll see what the future holds for L.A. and Safi, as the off-season could bring big changes, but, what I do know, is that I'll miss the guy once he's gone.

I was so close to going with something sad and depressing to describe this season. "Boulevard of broken dreams" by green day came to mind. Then I thought, let's do an uplifting song that describes what we've gone through and was thinking "survivor" by destiny's child. But I finally landed on "Run this Town" by Jay, Rihanna, and Kanye. First of all, the opening to the song by Rihanna is amazing. And it gets me every time! Not to mention the song has been used by the NBA before so I know for a fact it works. It's a true banger, and hype song! Now, how does it relate to this Suns team? Well easy! "who gone run this town tonight" much like this song's dominance on rap. This team was supposed to represent it's dominance in the sim league this year. Did it do that? No it didn't, thanks to injuries. But we are getting healthy and, "Victory's within the mile
Almost there, don't give up now". So this song is a cocky, song forecasting what's to come. Dammit why not let that be us!

Mohammed Ali said "me, we". Jay Z said "we are". And that's how we're treating the end to this season. WE ARE, YEAH I SAID IT, WE ARE!

Let's keep it simple...because I'm actually having a harder time with this question than I thought.

phpBB [video]

I went and got a player that didn't make any sense. I thought my team was starting to get good enough for my team to have someone running the offense properly, but we're not quite that good yet, so

phpBB [video]

I'm sure it will happen again. I'll turn to a friend. Someone who understands. Sees through the master plan.

...but everyone from my championship days is gone. Nick Claxton's been green way too long. I guess Kevin Cross is still growing up.

Anyway, yeah, I made a deal that didn't make sense (again) and wasted a few assets on it. Dammit.

This is a great question. I'm going to go with the Power Rangers theme song. My team is composed of a group of five guys who individually do not look impressive but when they play together they form a formidable foe in the league. The guys each have individual skills with Kamari Brown and Gradey Dick as the primary scorers while Steve Ho You Fat and Frank Chavez provide the frontcourt strength and fortitude to play solid defense. All of them are held together by an unsung facilitator in Hal Dorris who plays off their best abilities and puts the team in a position to win each and every game. Overall, I think the Raptors when they play solid team basketball can beat anyone on a given night much like the Megazord. Plus my guys are playing with house money and are among the league's fan favorites of a ragtag group of guys competing against franchises with huge payrolls like the Celtics, Lakers, and Cavaliers. I want to show those guys that even the little guy can win at this game.

I came into this season looking at some large amounts of dead money.
I tried to move Bonilla and Banks in some big deals for other people's money that is on life support.
I was very happy with the Rockwell signing.
Even if I couldn't have moved him, I was okay having a steady declining hand feeding my youngins for the next 2 seasons.
As it turned out, I flipped him for what would ultimately become Baba Miller on a great contract, and Krause who I believe has promise.
Wasn't able to flip a blockbuster for the 2 pick, so I'm interested to see what this draft file is going to look like.
I LOVE that so many people have their hands tied in UFA next season.
Bunch of great talent signing for the low.
And I have some of the only money on the market.
So if you have loose coins, don't be fooled into cashing them in for some garbage on the eve of UFA.
Hold the line like Ja Rule and them Stupid Ass and let's get it.
The Heat will make the playoffs next season, but for now, watch the video.

As the worst team in the league, wins have been hard to come by this season. We are the league's laughingstock so Beck's "Loser" felt appropriate for the moment. As the losses have piled up the team and the city have been filled with dread. I understand why there is so much angst and can definitely relate but better days are ahead. Rainwater and Bane look to be the real deal and if the lottery gods bless the Grizz with the #1 pick we have a legit shot to turbocharge this rebuild. Overall, the present situation in Memphis sucks. But I know the future will be better.

The Celtics are a team that I just can't give up on. That I always come back to. I am very committed to them, but are they that committed to me? Every time I throw assets to them to go all in, they lately always respond with a lack of commitment in return. Equally, I have felt that way about Gates. I traded for him, sending away Antonio Blakeney who is possibly the most decorated player in the history of my team. Where AG has kinda had the opposite fate since coming to the Celtics. He just never wanted to fully commit to what we are building here, where the only time he did sign on to something was in the offseason for his big contract. He truly drives me crazy with how good of a player he could be, or the team with how good they could also be (starting the year, not now). So moving forward, I think I am at the point where I need to say to Gates, R U mine???

I think the obvious choice for me would be the Clash's "Should I Stay or Should I Go." This season for me has been solid from a success standpoint, but I have been questioning how much gas is left in the tank for a game where I think I've sucked out pretty much all the juice I'm going to get from it. However, I don't really like that song, the answer is too nail on the head, and chances are, I'm not going to be able to resist the draw of going into the offseason with cap space while Nate handles commissioning.

While I really like the guitar lines and how the cryptic chorus line "You live in a fantasy world" relates to sim life, I think Radiohead's "In Limbo" is just too weird an abstract a song for this, so I'm going to put that as runner up for a more direct (and honest) song with "TV Party" by Black Flag.

Really, I got nothing better to do. Enjoy the video:

ODB - Got Your Money

Hey, Dirty
Baby, I got your money
Don't you worry, I said hey
Baby, I got your money
Hey, Dirty
Baby, I got your money
Don't you worry, I said hey
Baby, I got your money

I picked this song because when the tax man look for his money I have to tell him I got his money. He don't have to worry. That's been the theme for my team this season. Gotta combat the tax lol. He's going to come around asking for payment. My plan is hopefully not to be in this situation after this season lol.

Currently, my teams theme song would be "On the Road Again"

On the road again
Just can't wait to get on the road again
The life I love is makin' music with my friends
And I can't wait to get on the road again

Because since February started, I only have 11 home games for the rest of the season, so thats basically 2 full months of constantly being on the road. Which isn't too fun when Im fighting for the division lead in a very tough Silky Johnson Division, where 6 out of the 7 playoff teams are currently coming from in the Alpha Conference.

So I just can't wait to get on the road again.....

Here are the corrected versions of your text:

The Kit Kat theme song. I’m going with The Kit Kat theme song. Since UFA never goes my way. I mean, at this point, I don’t even plan on getting anything from free agency.

Another choice is a song I already posted in the memes. Since @greepleairport has been Mr. Miyagi to me and decided I need more time in the dojo. He didn’t believe in the Ware trade and killed it. He hated my deal with the Hawks so much he tried to have me sanctioned. He says six sentences are enough to make a point in the town halls. Then follows it up by saying the two memes you posted with the same sentences are only worth one meme. He does it for my benefit. He believes what doesn’t kill me makes me stronger, and I love him for it.

The next option is "My Brother and Me" by the Ying Yang Twins. Since we’re staying crunk on that Parker/Looney trade.

Finally, I looked up a song called "Blacklist" by Lil Story. After hearing the league talk about the deals, but very few offers have come in this season, I figured the blacklist was fitting. It It’s generally a "let’s go” song.

My team’s song would have to be Friday by Rebecca Black. It’s all about “looking forward to the weekend” and that’s when my team can rest and not have to worry about any Sims. We’re just trying to get through this season so we can have another off-season of trying to rebuild. Every time Friday comes around we treat it like one big party. Then Monday comes back around and we’re once again “looking forward to the weekend”
