Rules: 1 point if you give thoughtful answers, which I will award after the timer ends for responses. The timer ends for responses at the moment the corresponding week's Sim is run.
Note: Use approximately 5 sentences as your bare minimum for 1 point. If you write 3 long, complex sentences, you'll still get a point. If you write 5 3 word sentences, you will not get a point. Don't @ me.
It's Valentine's Day on the sim schedule, so, let's express our love! List off 3 of your favorite players in sim league and explain what they bring to the table that catches your eye. Rules: Only one can be on your team, Only one can be purple potential, and choose at least one still on their Rookie contract.

1. Safi Fino-A-Laself
- Obviously, right? He's the greatest player in my franchise's history since I've taken over here in sim world. I'm not sure there's anyone else that does quite as many things as he's been capable of. Score inside? Great passing? Shoot from 3? Rebound? Block shots? Mid range? Free Throws? It's all happening and at an elite clip. It'll be sad when he's gone.
2. Mac McClung
- I didnt WANT to trade McClung when I had him because you could definitely see what he was going to become. An elite PG with top tier athleticism and abilities to do pretty much everything on the court. He reminds me A LOT of Lu Dort, who was also a freak of nature. I only dealt him because Banchero was further along in his development and I was title chasing. And now, McClung is exactly who I thought and Josh has been the beneficiary of it. He's fun to follow.
3. Angel Reese
- Purple potential, 4 A's on offense, high level athleticism, already blue current, and an extra year after this one under a rookie contract. She could (should) have been playing a season earlier, but she's playing great this season and she has plenty more room to grow. Mavs can have one hell of an extended title window open IF they play their cards right because of her and Dominitrix.

I'm skippin my team cause ain't much to write home about.
I'm going with Markkanen as me favorite purple.
The athleticism at 6' 10" is Whoa!
Sniper with the three ball, and legitimate candidate for defensive player of the year.
He go crazy.
I'll shout out Jose Alvarado who became a two way floor general
Constantly battling for the league lead in steals and assists
And my youngster is Herman Cambell
Wish I was in position to keep him when I had the pick
Almost straight A potential offensively and phenom fast twitch
Certain to be an MVP one day

Oh man i have to think about this one a little bit...
Nick Claxton putting up pedestrian ass numbers and i love him for it. He knows his qualities and he's not pushing himself to show it. Bless your heart Nicky Clax.
Xue Huo is just like the mfer of the league. The Tims have been good for what feel like decades because of this guy. and he only has 57 QKN like a DOC-TAH
Sion Ja- oh right, only one purp
Who are we kidding, it's Herman Campbell. If it's not Herman Campbell what even sim league are you in right now???
ALPHONSE MORELOCK
WHERE YOU AT GENARO MONTOYA, YOU STILL PLAY...RIGHT

My rookie is Angel Reese is a freak. She is just getting started. Watch out when she gets rolling. Size, Speed, Scoring, Shooting, Defense she's going to do everything. Her first year in the league and she's averaging 20 points a game. Rookie of the year people.
I've had my eye on Dennis Funkhouser for a hot minute, but the bobcats seem to be MIA more often than not these days. I'm intrigued at how short he is and how well he plays. I want to see what he can do if he is paired but with my guys. I've never had a scoring point guard, I'd like to see what that's like.
Lauri Markkanen is holding it down for the Pistons. I the idea of playing him in the playoffs has had me reconstructing my team to trying to compete with this dude.
Sion James is MVP of the League for sure.
But both of those are purples, so I think I'll go is a crazy direction, Kofi Blaq Jr. dude is not putting up numbers at all but until last sim was holding down the PG position on the best team in Alpha. I still don't understand what is happening in Alpha this year, and i definitely don't understand how Kofi Blaq Jr. was (until recently) orchestrating the best team in Alpha.

Herman Cambell - he is definitely the player that keeps me up at night he's still cheap on his rookie deal for this last season and he's serviceable. He's going to be very good one day and I traded him away to chase. Admittedly I did it before I realized just how good the pistons would be #UserError
Sometimes I wish I had just left everything alone coming into the season with my young guys.
I gotta give love to my guy Ross Finch. He's not just my favorite player on the team, he's my favorite in the league. The guy shows up to work and performs. He keeps his head down and just balls. I felt like I owed it to him to complete and that's ultimately why I traded for win now talent. As much as I want to have regret, it's not my fault Phil broke his leg. And I don't think I'm having any regret if Phil was healthy and playing.
The last player is Sion James, I mean 23-9-9 is absolutely insane. He's willing a very mid roster to wins. Reminds me of the days Herbert Jones did this type of work. It's going to be very interesting if Sion can steal the MVP away from Pee Wee who's putting up 29-6-5 in his own right. Sion's most impressive stat is his 3%. My god 46 percent from 3 with that many attempts? Insane stuff from that guy. Pretty sure he's gonna be like Montoya and will be really good well into his mid 30s

Jonathan Isaac - I've always admired Isaac as a one-man wrecking crew in Cleveland. He scores and scores. He cannot be stopped. I hope the Cavaliers are able to regroup a lineup around him because his talent is too much to waste.
Kamari Brown - My favorite Toronto Raptor. He is uber athletic and has stepped up to be the alpha of the team. He has raised his game every season and I really think he is a future All-Star caliber player.
A'ja Wilson - Wilson reminds me of a boosted Kamari Brown. The potential is limitless so I'm excited to see how the Golden State Warriors handle her future.

#1- (Team + Rookie)- Williams Lindsey: He will always be my baby. I went out and a made a trade for him on draft day in my first season. He's only a G/G but I will make it my pet project to try and bump him to B/B. He helped me last year when I was getting killed in rebounds and continues into this year where my team is a top rebounder and he is the best on my team at it.
#2- (purple)- Xue Huo: I became enamored with him when I did my article on Purple players and realized just how much of a freak he is compared to literally anyone else currently in the game.
#3- Akok Akok- I read his name and immediately started laughing. That is all.

Honestly, they're all just numbers to me, so I don't put too much attachment to any player...even if they're renamed after an NBA guy I really like.
My Team: Mac McClung. Sure, he's just numbers, but he's the best numbers and the most numbers. No player in the league has a higher sum total of attributes than McClung does.
Purple: Gonna give a shoutout to Charley Quick. The Blazers aren't chock full of talent, but 30 ppg is impressive, and he's doing it with better efficiency numbers than any purple potential player in the game. He's playing for next year's contract for sure, and he's gonna get a lot of attention in UFA as folks try to steal him from the Blazers.
Rookie Contract: I picked a PG from my team and a big for my purple, so I'll go wing here and say Lew Alcindor. With his size, potentials, and athleticism, this guy is going to be an offensive juggernaut. If he played defense, he'd be unstoppable. If he was on the same timeline as Gates, that'd be a real fun wing/forward combo to be able to play around with for the Celtics.

Team: Tennessee Rainwater, love the name. Appreciate the game. He has continued to steadily grow this season and avoided the dreaded sophomore slump.
Purple: Kel'el Ware, the best big in the game. He has taken the torch from Victor Wembanyama and continued to dominate on both ends of the court.
Rookie: Alex Fudge, such an intriguing upside with his athleticism despite the rawness of his offensive game. Curious to see how he develops in the Raptors' system.

For my team I could go the obvious choice of PeeWee or Jose' who's coming off of a week where he basically averaged 24 points, 10 assist, 10 rebounds an 7 steals. I choose to go with Tony Newland. He's been a great developmental player and now has become a really good player for my team. Hoping he one day he can bring what Josh Smith brought to my spurs some years ago.
Rookie Contract guy I like is Bones Hyland. Dude can outright score. He's one of the main reasons the Nets are in the running for a playoff spot right now. I believe his future is bright.
Kel'el Ware is my purple choice. He's a dominant player on both ends. He can score, get boards and block shots. Seems like the older he gets the better he is. He will be 30 soon and I don't think his age will be stopping his production anytime soon.

Well, seeing how I flipped a lot of my roster over let’s see how this goes. I am going to do two for my team, and one for the league:
1. Lew Alcindor. Dude is hopefully the future of this franchise. He is hopefully going to be a scoring dynamite in the near future. I don’t think I’ve ever built a team around an offensive player (all my previous core players were balanced). So I am very excited to see how this turns out.
2. Dyson Daniel. The result of the recent trade storms that I had complete. Daniel I think is hopefully a good running mate to go with Lew. He has a good defensive balance to go with Lew’s offensive prowess. The plan for him is going to be training some offensive bits to have him be a good running mate to Lew. I basically now have two sides of the court’s coin to decide which will be the better long term prospect.
3. Candice Parker. She is a great prospect. The Mavs really have a great player here that will hopefully turn into a quality player once she grows into her shoes. She may be slightly overpaid now, but once she develops, she will be a good complimentary player. Let’s see what happens now that PBSL gods didn’t want Parker leaving the Mavs.
