Rookies that may be hitting the open market

Pacers: Dan Spooner is an asset for any team trying to rebuild. Looking for a decent scoring, rebound-defending, shot-blocker who can shoot free throws, and could easily get a bump in TC; he’s your guy. He is only going to increase in value. The Pacers have been in a win-now mentality for a while, and I bet they would cash him in for a really good win-now player.

Celtics: Lew Alcindor - A really good player, but not sure how much he will contribute this year. Luckily, the Celtics look to be good for a few years, and by then, Lew Alcindor will be ready. If they are looking to win this year, Lew Alcindor will probably be moved. This guy is a core 3 player.

Warriors: The entire Warriors roster - Jon looks like a guy trying to make some moves. Likely pairing up some of those rookie contracts with Ron Harper to build a win-now squad.

Darrell Gupton - He’s fast on a 6-8 frame. His offensive and defensive efficiency is really his highlight. He’s young and therefore has the hope of a TC bump. He’s also well-rounded; he's not terrible at anything (except stealing and blocking).

Dwain Ramos - Super Athletic. Well-rounded, but hasn’t put up the numbers yet. He is young and on a long-term deal at a good price. Another player that has hope of turning into something. If you're willing to throw a few points into his TC, he could become something.

I'm a big fan of Darrell Gupton. He's intriguing for a number of reasons, almost all of them being a positive:

— Because SGs are seldom, if ever, relied upon for inside scoring, his INS rating of 26 shouldn't hurt him... too much. As long as they can just pass him the rock and he can shoot it, he should be a very good SG that won't come with a superstar pricetag. On top of that, if his perimeter defense improves in TC he can be a really good defender, even if just coming off the bench.

— Quickness of 77 for a SG in contemporary PBSL times is acceptable as players are seemingly getting slower and slower due to the commissioner's league-wide ban on low-calorie food. So when you take his quickness, pair it with his strength (66) and then take note of his height (6'8") you can easily see how he can be a dual SG/SF, especially since he has decent defensive rebounding potentials (unlike Richard Reed of the Charlotte Bobcats)
