Rules: 1 point if you give thoughtful answers which I will award after the timer ends for responses. The timer ends for responses at the moment the corresponding week's Sim is run.
Due: Fri Dec 8th at 4pm at Sim 6 deadline.
Question: If you could be the owner of any team outside of your own. Who would you swap places for in a heartbeat and why?

I would love to swap places with the Mavs. Young team with an amazing salary cap situation next season even after the "CP2" resign. But I'm also not sure that CP2 would make it in a Mavs uniform beyond trade deadline. I would be positioning myself right now to make moves for next season. However it's not the end of the world. I'd still be able to make any trade I wanted after I declined the team options. Young stars with a near prime STAR.
Honorable mentions: Jazz- I would love the challenge to bring them to relevancy

I’d love to take over the Jazz. Not only do I love the naming of Snotty and Booger, but I think they are going to be studs. If I was running the team, they would both be protected in TC. I’d also move Warley and try to further my teams stockpile of assets.

I'm a big fan of the 2 point guard approach so I'll take the Charlotte Bobcats. I really am impressed by their team this season and think Curtis Rakes was the perfect veteran for the team to jumpstart their success. The Bobcats have a lot of potential with Funkhouser and Cambell so I would love to try and gameplan around 2 great facilitators while building up the rest of my team.

My answers are already taken, dang.
I would take on the Mavs or Bobcats in a heartbeat: 'cats for future greatness and being set up for that...or cashing in the future for the present. They could be really, really good. Also, with the Mavs, I find what they want to do in the offseason promising, and then absolutely disastrous missteps hit during the season (not declining options, forgetting deadlines, benching dominitrix), so I wish I could fix those things and see them go far in the playoffs. I think they have the build to be a perennial playoff team now.
Really though I'd bump Roberto from the Lakers so he can't win another championship

Didn't you trade him Coss and Schiff?
But seriously, I would take the Lakers. They've had bad playoff luck, but they've been set up for now and later for so long that it reminds me of those old Scott teams where he wouldn't budge either way but had guys like Ben Simmons, Markelle Fultz, Van Grimaldi, Udoka Azubuike etc. and never won a championship because he never truly went all in (and when he did, he won 4 championships in a row, racked up an insurmountable tax bill and 23 skidoo'd).
The Lakers are better, but the whole league is better and filled with better players thanks to everyone knowing how to train and spending all their points on it, so I think the Lakers are in a similar spot. What differs is that the Lakers probably have so many good players, they don't have the space to really pack in any more. I'd really like to try game planning with their roster in the playoffs and see what I could do...though I'm not sure what I'd do differently. I do think that the Lakers are a little purple obsessed. Banchero would probably be shipped out for a b/b point guard or a b/b C. Unless the league is kind of savvier to the color curve than I think, they could probably have their pick of 1s or 5s for a p/p current except McClung.

Cleveland Cavaliers
Just to show @jlmarines how a real GM would manage so much talent. Jon Isaac is an Adonis. Devin Vassell is brimming with potential. And the city of Cleveland deserves a championship. No city should be forced to endure the pain and suffering jlmarines has wrought on those poor fans over the past 20 seasons. The city deserves better. I am the solution.

Trailblazers
Quick, Blaze, Bricker are as good if a 25 & under trio as you could ask for, but unfortunately, Justin has been asleep as the wheel. Showed up to add Lomax but then nothing since. I'd be checking in on shifting him out to save money but gaining another asset or 2. Then in the off-season, having Hood-Schifino and whatever I'd get back for Lomax to build around those 3. Plus, ya know, actually using UFA and the MLE to fill out the rest of the roster.
It's a roster that should be making deep playoff runs soon, with a possible MVP caliber player in Quick.

I'm gonna go with the Spurs.
Their back-court is absolutely overloaded with star power.
The rebuild has been patient and intentional and they are positioned to make a run at the ship.
They have the assets to add a game-changing big man to the trio of Alvarado, Kirkland, and BI.
I would package some of the youngsters and send em out for Phil Smith.
Next to Hub and Kozak in the front-court they would be a tough out for anybody.

The Cavs and Blazers are Honorable mentions. The Cavs need one or two more pieces. The Blazers have an outstanding squad, but they also have a contract issue, Ned Lomax, that scares me. But, I can't believe no one has mentioned the Pistons.
The Pistons are all upside. They're going to make the playoffs easily, with a core group that is one of the few teams that is younger than my team, with an average age of, what, 23. They have a purple potential point guard (although not a true point guard). They have three players that are close to 20 points a night scorers.
Also, if I took over the Pistons, I could see his depth chart and figure out how to set a winning lineup with a point guard with a handle of 27.

I think he just plays his best players over the not best players.

The Lakers. I have never had a purple player. I have tried to sign purple players many times during UFA. Unfortunately, it never happened. It will be nice to have 2 purple players and go on cruise mode, and destroy AB and K100.

I would say the Hawks. Only because I would finally get a opportunity to coach Phil Smith. I was on a mission to get him in San Antonio since Louie was the GM and tried or inquired about him after Louie left. I just liked his overall skillset. He is now a really good player that I knew he would become but hoped it had happened in a Spurs uniform. If a deal would have been done back during his rookie contract he def would have been a front runner for the 12 years a spur status. Oh well, what could've been lol.

I'd take over the Lakers and coast to a championship... I mean if they can't win one with this stacked line up featuring Banchero & Johnny D, they might as well blow it up. *looks intently at Roberto and gives a little eyebrow wiggle*

I think I'd go with the Blazers. They already have a pretty nice young trio locked up, and really don't need much other than more investment in the Blaze/Bricker duo to patch up their weaknesses and better role players. Hood-Schifino and Lomax are good trade prospects and Lomax can have his contract cut off before it becomes a huge problem. This could be a perennial contender in two seasons pretty easily if real care was put into them.
