Nominate who you think was the most valuable player this year. Any player that was active this season is available for the award. If this goes well, we will incorporate more going forward.

Anybody who submits a nomination can claim 1 point (excluding self-nominations)

Max is 1 point, even if you submit nominations in other categories.

Winning nomination gets an additional point like last season.

Submit your nominations by Friday, November 3 @ 8:00pm CST

LINK YOUR AWARD NOM, if you do not link, the item will still be posted but if it wins - the person that nominated will not get the points.

Victor Wembamyama is absolutely MVP, and you can't tell me otherwise.

http://pbsl.ijbl.net/players/player107.htm

Here's his stats: 22.7ppg (19th), 12.4rpg (2nd), 1.9spg (13th), 3.1bpg (8th).. 25th in the league in 3pt percentage.

He's also All-League 2nd Team, All-Defense 1st team, AND Defensive Player of the Year.

This guy does everything you need him to do. A one man wrecking crew. His lack of scoring is what keeps the computer for selecting him, but we are much smarter than the computer.

I think that one name that risks being overlooked this season is Alphonse Morelock:

http://pbsl.ijbl.net/players/player139.htm

Morelock was traded to the Nuggets as they cashed in Kevin Cross in hopes of getting a partner in crime for Johnny Davis. When JD left for the Lakers, it spelt disaster for the Nuggets. They weren't even on anyone's radar as a playoff team, but by the end of the season, they were in the picture for control of the Silky Johnson Division and just swept their division rival, the Pacers, who have actual MVP Herbert Jones.

Morelock put up some of the best numbers of his career with 26.7 PPG, 8.9 RPG, 3.1 AST, and 2.7 BLK. As a late bloomer player, he might not be on a lot of folks' radars, but he was a major player in the Warriors back to back chips, and as the leader of the Nuggets, he took a young team that everyone counted out, put them on his back, and by advanced metrics, got them about 25 EWA--half their win total overall.

Johnny Davis - Lakers

Sometimes you just have to go with the best player on the best team. And Johnny Davis is that. 25.2/6.1/7.8 is intense numbers. On a team with alphas, he's the alpha dog.

Remy Martin - Lead the league in scoring at nearly 30 for most of the season. Single-handedly forced his GM to switch from a tanking team to making a playoff push instead. While undersized he dominated defensively. Oh, and by himself, (with a little help of his coach), he made the playoffs over far superior teams (at least on paper).

I will nominate Ron Harper Jr. He was the guy everyone wanted this season when the Nets went into rebuild mode. So, if you were one of the GM's pushing the Nets to trade you RHJ, you should vote for the point leader as MVP.

Jonathan Isaac - PF/SF Cavs

No player has done more in 2 quarters than PF Isaac. It's ridiculous his name is not mention more often. But, since he plays in Cleveland, he tends to be ignore by the Gods of SIMS. Can't believe he didn't make it to the all-star. 25pts per game.
