If Fabian Hub to the Spurs and Hoyt Timmerman to Pistons isn't trade of the year, I don't know what is.

Pistons send:
Fabian Hub
Tommie Williams
10pts

Spurs send:
Hoyt Timmerman
Trent Dawes

Pistons accept
This trade helped the Pistons get younger and reset, while the Spurs add a true wildcard/x-factor to their squad. They were on cruise control (literally out on vacation on a cruise) for a good portion of the 2nd half of the season, but the Spurs will surely use Hub's athleticism and adaptability to play positionless basketball and lock down opposing team's best players. The Pistons, despite trading away two all-defense, all-league, all-star players get a rookie deal big to develop and a wing who's coming in and helping shore up their offense & defense. A rare win-win (where both teams continued winning) in a league where people are looking to get a big win on trades.

Black Superman needs to win some category this year, and since I don't think I should nominate two different GMs for GM of the year, so I'm nominating this for Trade of the Year.

viewtopic.php?f=24&t=12995 - Blazers/Pels/Suns

While I think this trade was good for everyone involved it most dramatically helped the Suns.

I thought the Suns had run their course at the end of last year. Here's the significant players left on the Suns at the end of the year. Anas Mahmoud, Jaden Akins, an aging Charles Alleman and two good prospects Maxwell Lewis and Jalen Hood-Schifino.

He turned that team into Anas Mahmoud, Jaden Akins, Darius Garland, Darrell Hackney, and developed Maxwell Lewis and one very good prospect, Cooper Flagg. That is a significantly better team; and this is the trade that made most of that happen.

I think this was a great trade between myself and the Bulls. I got a clear upgrade at SF. I also got a player, that in the playoffs, has been the best player on the team to date. Bulls got a young guard that they can build their next team around and a guard who can still ball, and help them this playoff season, while still feeling good about letting go in the offseason if that is what he chooses to do.

Warriors / Magic

That link is probably ass if you’re not on Tapatalk but that trade helped me lose warley long term, gave the magic the support they sought while saving $20m, win win

And then they traded warley but still win win
