This will differ from GM of the Year. GM will focus on the moves made throughout the season. Coach will focus on how the team performed compared to how they should have (showing that the person gameplanned well and was able to get the most out of his team).
Anybody who submits a nomination can claim 1 point (excluding self-nominations)
Max is 1 point, even if you submit nominations in other categories
Winning nomination gets an additional point like last season
Submit your nominations by Friday, September 8 @ 8:00pm CST

I originally posted this as GMOY, but this is more a testament to Josh's ability to adapting in season. I think COY should go to Josh/Garbageman for overcoming losing Ayo for half the season to a rating-changing broken leg. Despite all this, his team posted the 3rd best record in the league despite having less dominating talent than the Lakers & Warriors. Bravo to Josh for building a deep, well-rounded team and keeping the team afloat despite losing his best player.

Cashcab of the Hawks deserves a nomination for this especially if they make the second round of the playoffs. They came on strong at the end of the season and are trending upward heading into next season.

The Raptors are not a highly talented squad, though I love Looney and think Poole is a nice set-up man. Their best scorer is Jackson, which tells me they really lack explosion. That being said, this is two seasons in a row where they led this roster to tough playoff battles against superior teams. 45 wins in the competitive Alpha conference is nothing to sneeze at either. I think its all worth a shout out.

Ed has two good players and made it to the semis. Look, Warriors are a horrible matchup for them, and one could argue that injuries were the true story of them winning their first round series against the Suns, but I do think Ed put the finishing touches on an otherwise tough series.

Garbageman
The Bulls one of the few teams that decided to not try and get under the Cap instead they decided to make Jon earn his 3rd Championship. More importantly they have been dominate through the playoffs with a ridiculous amount of injuries. (Players who have been injured, Charles Jarrett, Colton Johnson , Ken Dirks and Ayo Dosunmu.) Who needs players to win a ship, when you got garbageman as a coach.

I'm going to nominate the coaching of MexiMamba. The Lakers GM decided to trade 2 major pieces away from the team going into the season to save money. The coach did what a coach should do, put his head down and worked with what he had. He put our league's MVP at the PF position and secured the 1 seed in his conference. Showed the true meaning of coaching by not letting the lack of talent derail the objective which is to win games. Team lost all that talent and still lead the league in scoring.
