This season had some truly wild trades. But I think I'm gonna have to toot my own horn here with my trade with the Pelicans.
Pistons send:
Ned Lomax
Nicholas Zike
Tony Hinshaw
Pels send:
Bernardo Carrasco
Brittney Griner
Trey Murphy III
5 points
Both teams got what they wanted out of this trade. Trey Murphy & Carrasco are starting caliber talent for the Pistons (and young). Zike & Lomax have proven to be league winning pieces. Griner was an asset used to flip into MIP Mikal Bridges. Darth is about to win the 1st round series over the Pistons too, which could start a deep run into the playoffs if his team starts clicking.

Panda and 78 had goals for the off-season and this deal helped both parties reach them perfectly. Panda reset his tax and earned assets for a quick turnaround and 78 knew it was time to stop being awful and a pure PG led him to a division title. Win, win, win.

The meat and potatoes of this trade is Blakeney for Hood-Schifino and Lewis, so Magic and Nets could get some free points out of this for being able to help make salary work. I'm torn on this because I would've liked to see Nate let it ride with Blakeney and the Suns roster he built, which was a really solid one. But the return he got for Blakeney is really hard to turn down, and you can't really go wrong taking two excellent prospects and getting under the apron. The Pelicans obviously net Blakeney who will be a difference maker for at least this playoff run and next season, and what Chad's done is really helped refocus the value of going after great talent by really offering something. Hopefully middle of the road teams will follow his example and not try to hedge both sides so much.

I don't know who any of those jokers are that went to the Blazers, but when I saw the Bucks make this trade, I felt pretty certain they would be my opponents in the finals. I hope it was also beneficial to the Blazers because I'm nominating this trade regardless

This was a trade that the Cavs made that, at the time, put them on a lot of people’s radars for trying to become a playoff contender. The Lakers get Primo Spears back, who will be a great building block moving forward.
