Rules: 1 point if you give thoughtful(and I stress THOUGHTFUL) answers which I will award after the timer ends for responses. The timer ends for responses at the moment the corresponding week's Sim is run.
Deadline Monday 11:59 pm, Sim #11. Since this was a bit late in the day.
Question:
While at first glance the next class of rookies doesn't look too hot, but after further inspection they may not be too shabby.
Rank your TOP 5 players from the upcoming Draft Class and what you like about them.

1. Marty Shipe -- Sure, everyone likes a point guard because point guards are so rare these days, but what I really like about Marty Shipe is his 100 QKN. With quickness like that, he won't wait until the last minute to run an offense, get on his defender, or do whatever time sensitive task he's getting paid to do.
2. Roy Richard - Wow...a green potential player 2nd in the list? What is so special about this guy? Why it's his 100 STA. This guy can take a licking and keep on ticking, so if his team is struggling or they suffer a disappointing playoff loss, he won't up and retire. For a big, he's got a lot of skills across the board. Consistent QKN training can turn this guy into an effective combo forward. If you've got a consistent source of points coming in, might be a neat project.
3. Tony Gay - It's been a long time since we had an A HND player in the draft, and at 7'0, Tony is an unlikely candidate. But it's rare that a big man can handle, and he's got passing skills to boot. While his defense may leave a lot to be desired, put him inside and he'll be able to score, rebound, distribute, and handle any responsibility he's tasked with on that end of the court.
4. John Mayne - As the only g/g player in the draft, he's ready to go right off the bat. Sure, he's an athletic 3 and D guy with a low ceiling, but 4 years in school will give him a high basketball IQ, so he won't ask a lot of silly questions. He knows his role, and can start contributing as soon as he gets in the league.
5. William Fick - Sure, he's r/r, but he's 5'6. At a serious height disadvantage, he must have some serious skills to even be declaring for the draft. His name is one 'u' away from being legendary, and well, I guess he doesn't have any serious skills. A lot of F's. Still, can't help but cheer for the underdog, am I right? Maybe he's great at admin

In no particular order:
1: Dan Spooner. It is a great name. He is 17, and is not r/r.
2: Roy Richard. He is the only player in this draft to have 100 stamina. He can run anyone off the court at the draft combine.
3: Marty Shipe: I agree with what gargbageman said above. The other two may have been slightly comical before this one, but this guy may be the blue blazer.
4: Virgil Triplett: This guy has only one F and is 18. That is a good recipe for success from a top draft pick.
5: Ivan Krawczyk: This is the guy that people will jump for because of his handling/passing traits. He is red/green which is entertaining to see. He may be the best PG in this draft, while he would have been the third best in last years draft. However, he is 18 and has good stats in the areas you want from a PG.

1. Richard Reed
1A. Marty Shipe
1B. Virgil Triplett
The other folks dont even matter. These 3 are above and beyond the best 3 players in the draft. I absolutely love All 3. And ironically they are at 3 different positions. I think whomever gets the first pick will have their choice at an amazing athletic point guard. An offensive wing, or the next best big man. I think all 3 could definitely use a training or two. Reed needs his defensive rebounding increased, and if his foul rating is decent then that's the only thing he needs. Shipe could use some inside and handling love but otherwise he's set. Virgil probably only needs his quickness increased. Defense is too bad to make it better. But I'd be willing to bet he gets a TC bump, that sim league forward love. For the sake of the question and me earning my point.
4. Ian
5. Gil
Neither are as good as the other 3 but they have some specialist to them that would be bad as a 4th or 5th pick.

Lots of young blood in this draft. Young, Raw, Flawed, but all decent prospects.
I think the rankings change based off what you actually need as a team... and honestly, if I had pick #1, I'm not sure who I'd pick... but here we go.
1. Marty Shipe - This league is in a PG famine, and this piece of shipe is a THIRST TRAP. He's athletic, he can pass, he can defend. His flaws though... he's a SHAWTY. And he doesn't really get inside and attack the rim much despite having some elite athleticism. He's definitely going to need some Sim Points TLC to up his game in handles or INS... but otherwise, a great prospect none the less.
2. James McCusker - He's your run of the mill forward we've seen the draft churn out year after year. He's got some top end athleticism for his size though. He lacks perimeter defensive chops and is more of a spot up 3pt shooter who can get to the rim. His mid range leaves alot to be desired. Another player who would definitely benefit from a couple potential trainings.
3. Virgil Triplett - Elite offensive skill set. Could be a premiere scorer in the league. So active on the offensive end off ball too, grabbing those offensive boards. The problem is he leaves it all on that end of the court and is a complete defensive sieve on the other end. Other issue is he's very raw. The good thing though is a that he's 18 years old and can easily invest into his defensive traits and make him a capable defender and not even have to worry about the offensive side of the ball.
4. Richard Reed - If i draft him, I'm renaming him Reed Richards because this 7ft mothatfuka is a stretchy dude! He's 18, 7' tall (you can't teach that), and has (almost) everything you need out of a big. He lacks prowess on the defensive glass, but he that could be trained up too.
5. Gil Kinsey - Gil has a better offensive skill set than the other two bigs out there, but lacks a little in the post defense area. Overall he should be a great rebounder and offensive player. Have him work with some elite former stars in the off-season and help him bulk up. 6'10" and 214lbs... I'm 5'10" and 204lbs... so put this dude in the weight room.

1. Marty Shipe -- As previously mentioned. Speed kills. Best PG. Enough said. He's the real deal.
2. James McCusker - Fastest SF in the league. Has potential to be a great defensive player who can also play SG.
3. Ivan Krawczyk - Another PG was so much potential. Only 18, with so much room to go. If trained correctly, he could easily be a blue player.
4. John Mayne - He's already a green player. He could easily be a starter for so many teams in day 1. In addition, he's an elite 3 pt shooter. The potential is there. Perfect for the Cavs.
5. Virgil Triplett- I see a lot of A's for his ratings. This kid will score a lot pts in the near future. A future stud.
