Rules: 1 point if you give thoughtful(and I stress THOUGHTFUL) answers which I will award after the timer ends for responses. The timer ends for responses at the moment the corresponding week's Sim is run.

Deadline Monday 5pm, Sim #2.

QUESTION:
Though one should never overreact to sim 1... what is your personal overreaction for your team after Sim #1???

My team is potentially a conference finals team. Weโ€™re good and should be in the playoffs if all goes well. However, we had a strong home stand to start and sim two wonโ€™t be as nice. Also, in part, Saul King will probably come back to earth and will cause some regression as well.

My overall reaction is ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿพ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿพ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿพ please keep this up on the road. 4-1 road start is amazing for me as my team historically has been terrible on the run. I am going to hold my breath because the next 2 sims are very road heavy sims for me. The next sim will include only 1 home game. I guess no one wants to come to the desert in November. Who would have thought.
As far as the on the court assessment, it's still early. I do like that AB got off to a big start this season. Last season we were both getting used to each other and I think the start was too timid. He's gonna play 35 mins a game this season and we will see if he can sneak into an MVP conversation with our team's success. I am super stoked that Akins is able to be our 2nd option next to AB without seemingly taking away any scoring. The Alleman and Mahmoud marriage seems to be the smartest decision I've ever made as a GM. I lost a good amount of in the trade for Charles to get a specific type of player. So far there's 0 regret in the decision. Mahmoud is a great blocker and post scorer. He lacks in rebounding and that's where Alleman will help him. Not only that, they're both athletic enough to switch everything at the 4&5 positions. I've never had a dual big man threat quite like this and I think it's my favorite 2 headed monster on the team, not the obvious AB/Akins one.

The Montoya era is over. He averaged 13ppg in Sim 1 and struggled on both ends of the court which was particularly evident in the 11/7 game versus Portland where Montoya finished with 2 points on 1/6 shooting. I understand his time in Memphis is coming to an end after this season but I really thought I could pad his stats another season and send him to a cap-rich team for some discarded projects to work on next season. Right now he is tanking what remaining trade value he has so I think he will finish the season in Memphis. I'm just hoping he rebounds enough to recoup some points from the individual side because his dip in performance does not bode well for the team's overall chances to compete for a playoff spot this season.

I know better than to take everything from sim 1 too seriously, however if we're just having some fun regarding what we could overreact to?

Safi is fully unlocked at the PF position.

When he first started playing, Safi was in the SG/SF role and as his HND/PAS ratings moved up, I transitioned him to a full-time PG spot. He has had no real issues playing that position, having scoring dips only because the talent around him was high and there's only one ball. However, we've also seen playoff disappointments come at PG. This issues at PG for Safi come from his well documented lack of Quickness. He performs but maybe gets taken advantage of at times. Putting him at PF means he's shorter than his opponents but now he's more than likely gaining a big athletic advantage. His rebounding attributes are both in the 80s and his BLK rating is 90. Combined with all his other attributes, maybe going to PF makes him a legit matchup nightmare.

Hes currently 2nd in scoring, 5th in STLs, 11th in BLKs, 14th in ASTs and adding 7 rebounds as well. That's not counting his shooting efficiency, which is off the charts.

More sims will tell me if he really can thrive here, but for now? Let's overreact!

MVP! MVP! MVP!

Cavs finished 5th seed for the Alpha Conference. SG Raphael Gordon finally gets the love he deserves and is selected for the All-Star. 2nd Year Jonathan Isaac becomes the greatest player to arrive to Cleveland. Isaac becomes the all-time points leader for the Cavs.

Ron Harper Jr for MVP. He will continue to develop his game and stay healthy, he has the potential to be a very special player. He could be a perennial All-Star and MVP candidate in the league. He's shooting 56% from the field, 89%
Fun the line and 40% from 3. 2 works come to mind WATCH OUT BROTHER!!!

I think the term exceeds expectations sums up this sim. I was expecting maybe 1 win not 3-5 and with 2 19 point scorers. I'm hoping this trend continues but I'm not getting my hopes up with the Road of Death schedule between 12/30 and 3/1.

0-6. That's about what I expected. Time to start thinking about a next season. Early Lottery pick here we come. Again.Time to put Kyle Kuric and Josiah Blair on the trading block. Good to see Scoot having himself a real nice season. I relatively happy with my bench, but most of this team will be gone by the opening of next season.

My overeation after Sim 1 would be me not declining The Dr's team option at the deadline because hes still playing good after taking a TC hit. Justifying why he will be making a lot of money next season in a spurs uniform.

CHAMPIONSHIP BABY!!!!!!

Nah, but for real...happy about the start. Lomax is for real. Need to tweak the lineups a bit. I am worried about my depth...mainly because I don't have any. So I think I'll work on that but maybe this team can make a semi-deep playoff run? I'm skeptical because I know how Week 1 Sims historically can go. But we'll stay optimistic for now.

The Toronto Raptors cannot score 100 points. The Raptors like to play defense. The Raptors are allergic to scoring. But who needs points when you bludgeon your opponent to death? This is definitely a recipe for success.

My team is somehow carrying its own weight after just 1 sim, looking capable on offense & defense. The offense is very balanced despite the lack of a pure passing PG we've built around in the past, but that seems to have balanced out with the spreading the ball around and spacing. Another massive shock was the amount of fouling happening. While I know that this is something that can be tweaked with defensive adjustments & pacing, it still was happening ALOT. That said, the record after sim 1 has me reconsidering blowing things up right now at Dec 15 and maybe letting things play out... something I wasn't really considering coming into this sim.

After getting blown out on opening night in Charlotte, I thought it was over.
There would be no silver lining, or chance at competing in any meaningful way.
We just Fryeing Suck!
Then we played tougher against the GSW and got a shot of confidence.
We didn't win, but we didn't quite embarrass ourselves either.
Seems like if we win the margin of fouls we're okay.
Couple of tough losses to some more bad teams in basketball.
But I think we're a hell of an MMA team!
Except Arthur Kimball.
He's a PUSSY!
If he doesn't toughen the Frye up, he'll be on a ship out of Miami before stripper ass bounces.
But we'll fight anywhere, anytime.

It's an inside joke that predates my tenure here about a Channing Frye trade that was a real bust
