Hello all this is the S65 presser for the Atlanta Hawks, the first time for everything. Hopefully, my creative writing skills will continue to stave off future tax bills.

Last season was a little bit of a disappointment. Don’t let the computer set your line up, the computer gave Jorge Scalise an average of 37 minutes a game. I knew I should have cut him after pre-season numbers and I would have if I knew he was going to be set as a starter and push Justin Amos to the point where he did great leading the league in turnovers. I wish Jorge Scalise the best in his Olympic high jump career. Nevertheless, I will be more involved with setting the lineup.

The players that truly did great and I plan on building my team around are Phil Smith, Kalin Lucas, and Justin Amos, which I’m lucky enough to have as Amos is projected to be purple. I figured out how to use TC points strategically to get Daniel Johnson to Green, and I hope he is ready to be a PG starter. It’s looking like my homegrown team is turning out to be competitive.

In the future, I will be more involved with the organization to help get this team back to the playoffs. As for the following season, I’m going to the big dance if all goes well. I may have to enlist ChatGPT to get as many points as possible ;).

League vs. Warriors. If you want to see the Hawks beat the Warriors donate your best player and I’ll give you Diallo. I’m looking to move Diallo at least by the end of the season to get under the tax and to see how well I can do in the playoffs without him. If I do well then the following season I will try and make a run at the ship.

Sham Smith, Bulls.com: Always great to see first pressers out there...knowing what you do after a handful of seasons in the game, what advice would you give your past self, and would you have done anything specifically differently?

Man, I kinda would like to see the Hawks stop my 3 peat now lol

I didn’t know you got creative juices flowing like this in your writing, Cody, I love to see it. Have you shopped Diallo around anywhere? Any success selling the underdog rising story of give me someone good for someone less good just because? That would be awesome

Yea I missed the boat with Diallo. But if anyone wants him I'll do a stand up trade or just play em out with another one bits the dust

Go with your gut and don't be afraid to trade talent away.
