Celtics/Suns

I think the Antonio Gates for Antonio Blakeney blockbuster is an obvious choice here. Both sides got what they have wanted for a while now. The Suns instantly catapulted themselves into the "contender" conversation and enjoyed the former MVP's services during the regular season while AngryBanana continues to wait patiently for Antonio Gates to make his much heralded debut in sim league. Plus the Celtics got an interesting project player in Chane Behanan who is probably a training or two away from hitting blue potential as a big man. Both sides should feel like they made the right decision here given where their teams were at in the contending lifecycle.

Magic/Pistons

Schiff's broken leg be damned, Doug got one of the 3 best Centers in the game and the Magic started their rebuilding model with a nice young guard in JVG (and parts).

We've got some very consequential trades above, certainly, but one is missing:

Thank you for the quick and productive talks, Josh. Good luck in the 2nd city, Kenny!
I think this is probably the _most_ consequential trade of the season. After the Bulls acquired Jarrett, they made their proper huge acquisition of the season getting Ken Dirks. The Bulls sent back a real nice package for Dirks, too. Individually none of those returns will amount to Dirks, but the rookies have decent potential, plus a pick, and plus points. Well done all around.
