S64 Lakers "I'm Only Here So I Don't Get Fined" Presser

I dont wanna be here.
We all here talked enough the last two off-seasons. Covered a lot of topics. Focus, determination, team work, execution, destiny, defense, and everything else in-between.
It didn't matter and I'm tired of talking.
We failed in our mission, regardless of the reasons that may have led to it. There's not one person in this organization who's happy about anything that happened last season.
This roster wasn't built to get swept in the Finals or use bullshit excuses to explain away losing in the conference finals. It was put together to dominate and win championships. Unless that happens, it's all for nothing.
Corey Kispert knows. That's why he's back. Thomas Walker understands. That's why he's back. Damien Bailey, Hassan Hodges? They have spent time with us before and they understand the assignment.
Evan Mobley and Karlo Pearson know better than anyone that you can't take these seasons, these rosters for granted. These two veterans understand. These opportunities don't come around all the time. Seize it.
Safi and Alleman are dialed in.
That's all I need to say.
They KNOW what is expected of them.
And Paolo Banchero?
He's shown me all throughout this off-season that he is ready to use all of his gifts and become a leader on this team. He brought it in Camp, played aggressively in preseason, and seems ready to come out guns blazing.
What this all comes down to is this: Forget about all those words I mentioned earlier that we've talked about as important with this team. Now, this team only has one mode.
We're pissed off.
Let's see what happens.
Any questions?
