!!!NEW AWARD ALERT!!!
This will differ from GM of the Year. GM will focus on the moves made throughout the season. Coach will focus on how the team performed compared to how they should have (showing that the person gameplanned well and was able to get the most out of his team).
Anybody who submits a nomination can claim 1 point (excluding self-nominations)
Max is 1 point, even if you submit nominations in other categories
Winning nomination gets an additional point like last season

Welcome back, NickMalone77
I'm nominating Nick because he came back to take over a 10-14 Orlando Magic and turned them into a 50+ win team and a division winner. He made a couple moves to do so, but nothing major. The biggest moves he made were in the DC department, and they paid off for him by really utilizing his stars and putting the right guys in the right places around the stars.

Hmm, I'm not exactly sure what the difference is... and I definitely don't know what 42PHD is...
But I have to nominate @cashcab from the Hawks. No one saw this team doing what it did. Was it a dominant front court? Definitely? Justin Amos on the other end of the floor? Most certainly. But none of these players, besides Diallo, had shown anything close to their true mettle before this year. Was it cashcab's doing? Hard to say. He didn't really check in much at all during the season... and yet, he was 2 key injuries away from winning his division.
So, do we congratulate him for setting it and forgetting it? I think it requires a nomination to decide. The team didn't build itself. Cashcab did. (h/t to @LazyTitanSmash for mentoring)

Nominating jlmarines for coach of the year because the Cavs gave Gordon every opportunity to pad his stats in another lost season where they missed the playoffs! Congratulations!

Nate with his Phoenix Suns.
They might have missed the playoffs but they did so by only one game after having some key injuries derail a promising season. He got some really nice performances out of some solid but unspectacular players like Lomas, Lansing and Beaton while clawing until the very end for a spot in the tournament.

@Xist2Inspire should win this every year. I've watch his teams closely over the years and I never understand how his teams are so good. He always gets the best out of a bunch of scrubs. I think hes in the middle of a rebuild year and hes still killing it. If he ever get two superstars good luck to the rest of the league.
