Sounds beautiful. Boy have I missed that sound. Great to hear it once again in PBSL.

We handed over the keys to the Staples Center to our good buddy Mamba, who always wanted the Lakers keys, anyway. We were happy to pick up what we had started and move it to San Francisco. Or…Oakland, I guess, in PBSL. Oh well. Yay Area rejoices either way.

With our brand new Warriors team we brought #1 draft pick Mac McClung, who absolutely blew away all of our expectations in the G League this summer. Mac who? Mac McClung, motherfryer. Trust me, by 2060 you will know the name! We’re happy with his TC success, but have to recognize how raw his talent still is, much like his young and larger counterparts Nemanja Bjelica and Fabian “The Grub” Hub, who also had great success this offseason. Don’t expect to see any of McClung or The Grub this season, however, as their time is yet to come. We’ll see some limited minutes from Bjelica again this year, but we’re not expecting much from the young man.

I can’t lie. All that losing we did last year to land McClung in the draft drove us all absolutely bonkers in the front office. And in the locker room. And in our final year in the Staples Center. So we refused to let our return to The Bay be a disaster and signed some awesome vet talent in free agency: Mitch Rob, Brendon Silva, Elwood Berger, and a still developing Corey Kispert. Returning young talent Girard Kinnard and rookie Richard Schoonmaker? They’re already dead to me. You can have either one of them for a point. No seriously, get’em out of here. Bums.

We’re not set on a starting lineup, but our focus is winning. Expect Mitch, Corey, Trey and Berger to be somewhere in every starting 5, though.

Sham Smith, Bulls.com: Now that your team has a change of venue and scenery, what changes--if any--do you have in mind in terms of how you manage your team now that they're the Golden State Warriors?

Hmm... do better? I dunno. We will bring a 'ship to Golden State to be sure. How? When? We'll have to take our lessons learned down in LA to help us figure out how to handle our future here in the Bay. I'd like to think that, now, with a couple of my friends joining the league in real 2022, I've had more opportunity to attempt to mentor and learn more about the league from that process. Teaching teaches you what you don't know, too. Ya know?

Graig Howerton had quite the preseason averaging almost 27 ppg, but also averaged 24 shots per game. What kind of spark do you expect from him now that he is coming off the bench?

Can you stand to wait this time though?
Are you going to patiently babysit this explosive core of young talent and wait for it to develop?
Are you committed to a long dynastic build, or may some of these players be packaged when the time is right to speed up progress and reach for a title?
Will Mac ever play for another franchise?

Graig had a nice TC and we rewarded him this preseason by seeing what he can finally do as peak Graig. We definitely liked it! We'll see how our current starting lineup holds and, who knows, he may play a more significant role yet. But he will definitely provide a scoring punch off the bench for us now.

Can I stand to wait is the question. I have amassed a good future group like I had planned, and I have collected a few solid pieces to show them the way to victory now. Mostly, we're very happy to have options open.

While my initial idea is that McClung never leaves...who knows? Though I have no initial intent to ever see Mac leave The Bay!

Who are you most excited about besides McClung?

Is weather better in San Fran than LA? What went into your decision to relocating your franchise?

Definitely Fabian Hub, but not this year. Maybe another year or two. Right now I’m excited we signed Mitch Rob and Elwood Berger to help out this year, as well as Corey Kispert for the next few years. And we’re glad to see Murphy continuing his development too.

Depends who you ask. Definitely cooler up here, but usually way too cloudy and foggy, especially on the west side of the city.

I realized it would not cost the franchise much money to relocate so we decided to throw in a bid and see what happens. I was first drawn to PBSL to coach the Warriors but they were snapped up by the time I saw the message. Much like what happened to Roberto and the Lakers I guess, so now all is right with the world!
