Bare Minimum Playoff Team Analy...Thoughts. Just Thoughts.

…more like an editorial, really. A passable one. Not MEOTY caliber like my NYE story, but good enough for a few points.
Pistons
They are going to win. Unless Gerry Folse breaks his leg, they’re going to win.
Spurs
They are going to face the Pistons in the Finals and maybe win a couple of games but ultimately lose.
Magic
Nothing Magical about how they will beat the Raptors - they will just get it done. Kory Manley will play good. Tony Parris will block some shots. They will lose to the Pistons, if not to the Wizards who are beating all odds right now.
Pelicans
The 4 time MVP will not go quietly into the night like most 33 year old sim leaguers. Lu Dort will pulverize Lane “Yellow Yellow” Kuehl, and that’s it. Nothing else matters there. Pacers OR Clippers will be tough but beatable, and then they will lose to the Spurs if they get that far.
Wizards
I love this team. I love how Xist has played them. They are my underdog heroes. If they do not win then I do not care who does. They won 60 games this season. SIXTY. ChoBojo4prez!!!
Pacers
Another lil engine that could, but the Wizards may have soaked up their underdog steam. A sad finish to a brilliant year, I’m afraid the Pacers are the most vulnerable to an upset loss, perhaps even in Rd 1. Herbert Jones will have his day… but not in the year 2049.
Bucks
I really wanted these Bucks to take out the Pistons at the knees, but the lack of Jericho Sims in the front court will be the reason Doug will never like me again and ultimately the reason his Bucks cannot go all the way. Great season nonetheless, and great use of a Bey/Garland combo that can still wreak havoc these playoffs and cause his opponents some fits. Bey is just getting started, and hopefully Doug has a plan to get him some gold next year.
Suns
Caught in the crosshairs of not quite going in all the way, Black Superman has a great team that lost its star player, Ronny Asher, to avoid an expensive visit to the taxman. Really cool to see the stunt he has pulled with Nix at PF, and who knows? Maybe it’s crazy enough to win a playoff series. Maybe it doesn’t matter at all and Black Superman has his eyes set on the future of Phoenix.
Jazz
Does Gary still play? The Simputer thought so, so good for him. I don’t think he still plays, but I always think that and always hope I’m proven wrong. Would be cool to see him actively play his way out of the first round. His strength in large players is the Bucks’ weakness, but aside from an aged, slightly broken Wade - atleast compared to prime Wade - the backcourt matchup is sus at best. Let’s see if Gary tries… his opponent might have to let him know he’s in the playoffs, but considering it’s not a trade proposal, I’m not holding my breath this correspondence will come to pass.
Nuggets
Definitely can beat the Suns. Maybe they won’t. This is a team starting to come out of hibernation with Johnny Davis as its focal point, now that Bey has left the building, but whether or not they exit the 1st round is secondary to this franchise’s future.
Cavaliers
These mfers not only made the playoffs, but they stole what looked like a pretty decent lotto pick from me, crappy draft notwithstanding. Battling back to a .500 team, their fight will not likely carry themselves past the first round. Their roster appears stronger than the Wizards, but their output is far inferior.
Clippers
I see this team as the best poised to pull off some upsets. Fully healthy and facing a flailing Pacers, Safi is getting ready to drop his nuts on the city of Indy. Even if he doesn’t and the Pacers advance, they’re going to be hurting from a tough outing against these Clippers. Dong Bone and Karlo Pearson are still here, and still dope, and their 3rd in Safi is ready to go.
Raptors
After losing Leroy Johnston in free agency, the Raptors future turned dark. They still have Mobley and Ridenhour, but without Leroy, the acquisition of Fang Shuo has not done enough to buoy this team out of the first round. Probably time to shop Fang around (and maybe even Mobley too) in the offseason.
Knicks
We’ve all hated them, but we’ve all loved them, too. With Kai Jones, the Knicks are back in the playoffs, baby. And that’s it. They are going to get squashed by the Pelicans. Hopefully for DrKavarga, Kai comes back on a supermax next year.
