Hello, friends. I haven't deleted the system 32 file off the main simputer yet, so we're still doing this. Let's get to it.
Last season was mostly forgettable. We sold off Mata and O'Connor for points, and got a bit younger when we moved Mark Adkison for Kyle Kuric. The team was remarkably unremarkable and under .500, but somehow we were in touching distance of the 7 seed up to the final sim. Despite our best efforts, we closed out the final sim of the season with a four game losing streak.
And so came the offseason. We were slotted with the 8th best lotto odds, so I wasn't expecting to jump and was prepared for another season of churning and asset gathering. But fortune smiled on Orlando and we leapt to the number one pick. We drafted Ousmane Dieng, adding to our collection of lengthy wings.
Our asset cupboard runneth over- to the point where I felt that competitive pull again. So we made some calls around the league and eventually settled on our familiar trading partners in MKE. Out went Antonio Blakeney and Jericho Sims, and in came the best center in the league, Mitchell Robinson, and welcomed back Mark Adkison. We used free agency to also welcome back Robert Mata and fill out some bench spots.
So does this add up to a title contender? Not after TC. But there are still some pieces left to move. I'm tempering my excitement, but at least it will be nice to not be on cruise control this season.
With that, I'll take your questions.
