To paraphrase Charlie Kelly on It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia:
"Come one, come all, to a beautiful show! It's gonna be awesome and... some other stuff. Dee dee dee dee doo dee dee dee doo dee dee doo dee. Heh heh. Some other musical stuff!"
What he ended up making was fun and entertaining, but not of fine art, and didn't accomplish his actual goals. BUT. He was on a fictional TV show, and the purpose of that show was to be fun and entertaining. So in some inception-like way, he actually did accomplish his goal.
For whatever reason when I started to think about this year's team, last year's team. I was reminded of that. Sure, my goal is to win another ring to hold over Josh's head (as I'm sure is his goal as well), but ultimately this is a game, I want it to be fun and entertaining.
So I was happy to make the playoffs, I made the Burt Gibson move even though I probably didn't HAVE to and it put me in the tax. But it was also for a better team this year, which I think I have.
This year I think I'll have a fun entertaining team. It'll get me to the playoffs, and I have so many versatile pieces that mixing and matching lineups will be fun and entertaining. So I'm getting the job done.
We return a pretty similar roster, but we added Jordan Johnson and Miguel Thomas, who are going to play big minutes. Cornett and Bey got a little better, most of our vets got a little worse, and so with the two additions we should be just a little better than the team that lost in the conference finals. Which is...pretty good. But even if not, it's my first year as co-commissioner and that'll take a lot of focus, but I hope to have a fun competition against JNR for the division, make the playoffs, and go as far as we can.
