#SLOE: People's Basketball Sim League

I would like to welcome everyone to the San Antonio Spurs Preseason presser. This past season was a successful run for my spurs by bringing the city another championship. It was a tough one to win but the team fought through adversity to win it all beating some great GMs along the way. It was also tough because my situation outside of the game we all love to play for fun. I almost gave up on everything tbh but just decided to finish up despite of what was going on. It helped in a way get my mind off of things for a few. I didn't realize how much I needed it. We are hoping to bring home another title to the city of San Antonio if possible this upcoming season.

This season we brought back most of the guys that were here last season and added a few seasoned vets in hopes of reaching our goal of another title for this team. With Montoya and Whitley having good camps I think the team will be even hungrier to repeat as champs. It wont be easy especially being the hunted. Some of our guys looked good during Preseason and hopefully that will translate into the regular season. We will try our best to put the best product out there on the court and make our fans proud to be Spurs fans. With that said if anyone have any questions no matter what they are I'll try to answer as best I can in a timely manner.

Sham Smith, Bulls.com: Congrats on bringing another trophy back to San Antonio. A big part of that win was your young players, Montoya and Whitley. Both of them took even bigger jumps in TC this year. Any Spurs TC secrets you're willing to share?

I think it's our culture. We let guys know that we are willing to work with them to make they reach their potential and improve in other areas of their game that's lacking. Our training staff also enjoy that time of year getting players primed and ready for the season. Also I think players know from our past that we are loyal and give players every opportunity to shine. They know the better they are the more money they'll make and also have a chance at a ring. Maybe the like the family orient environment plays a part too.

Who do you think is the biggest threat to your repeat chances?

With the tax, is this the last year you can keep the band back together, or do you think you have a longer window with this crew?

There are a number of teams out there. Teams like the Bucks, Suns, Thunder, Wolves, 76ers, Nuggets, Lakers and Nets are all threats. Some of those teams listed are probably one move away from being great and winning it all. I still think repeating as champs is going to be a tough assignment. Hopefully my team can grind it out do what needs to be done to repeat.

What do you need to pry Whitley from your team?

Glad to hear you are reinvigorated for S54, and what a testament to what you have put together previously to get this squad another ‘ship. You could quite possibly last to another ‘ship this year, but is there a point at which you might pivot and cash in on Yandell for example?

If the right offer comes i may consider cashing in. PGs are Scarce in our league and I am lucky to have a guy like Yan
