Bucks Presser 42-43

Post by IamQuailman »

It's Ian Quailmen again. Welcome back for the PRESSER OF THE CENTURY!!!

We went all in last season, going to get 4 massive win-now pieces in Dangerfield, Burnham, Wolfgang, & Ben Franklin. Unfortunately, the gamble didn't pay off, and the average age of the squad went a little higher than we had liked. While, we could've been right back in the thick of a playoff run... the team, as configured, wasn't set up for long term success AND wasn't set up to win a championship. We didn't really have any interest in the actual draft, as none of the prospects caught our eye. We tried to fill some of our needs with cap space, pre-RFA, but time ran out on us and we had to move forward with RFA and retaining Folse as our primary goal. We did just that and are thrilled to have him in our lockerroom for the foreseeable future.

We weren't able to bring back Ben Franklin, as we didn't want to commit long term to him when we had our long-term SF & PF in house already. But we did bring a few familiar names back in Onyeka Okongwu and Joseph Kish. We then did something we hadn't initially expected to do heading into TC, and that was move Wolfgang. We sent him over to Miami for a Manley man in Kory Manley, pick and other players who can help provide some depth.

We are excited about this mini reset we have going for us. Chadwick Dangerfield expressed his interest in staying but also mentioned he would be open to a move if the team is shifting fully into a rebuild. We spoke and said we'd revisit our options come December.

As always, its a fun time when Milwaukee is rebuilding... because you never know what's happening next.......

Your three best young pieces are Patrick Williams, Gerry Folse, and Kory Manley. They're all around the same age, and same size. Assuming one or two of these guys isn't part of the LONNNNNG term plan, who's in, who's out?
6 Rings. That's it. That's the tweet.

We really like Patrick and Folse, but loveeeeeee Manley's athleticism. The jury is still out and there's nothing wrong with building around all three :o
