#SLOE: People's Basketball Sim League

Welcome to the Cavs Preseason Presser. We are pleased to welcome our legend GM jlmarines and future owner of the Cavs.

GM jlmarines: Last season the Cavs had one of the best defense in the league. Our young team were only few games away from making to the playoffs. Our strategy for this year is to upgrade our defense and add better efficient scorer's. We made some tough decisions and decided not to bring back Sydney Shank. We traded for PF Daniel Oturu. Oturu brings leadership, better defensive player than Shank, and scores more points than Shank. We are excited to have Oturu in Cleveland. During this offseason we signed C Ojo, PF Barr, PF Manuel and PG Adams, all four veterans have all-star defensive attribute skills. Overall, if you look at our entire roster, Cavs have an elite defensive team.

GM jlmarines: With the addition of PF Oturu, PF Oturu will create open shots for our studs SG Boston and PG Connell. I am pleased we were able to draft 1st round pick SF Fletcher. Fletcher has big time potential. We believe Fletcher first year playing next to Boston and Barnes will be a major advantage for his development. Tilton had a great TC, his foul rating has improved, and his PSD is 100. We expect Tilton to be a major factor on defense. Overall, we have a solid team and bench players that can start with other teams.

GM jlmarines: We look forward to the season. I really think we were able to upgrade our defensive. We believe defense wins championships. We cannot wait to crush our rivalry opponents which is 76ers, Thunder, and Kings. We predict the Cavs will make it to the playoffs! Go Cavs! Here's our depth chart:

Sham Smith, Bulls.com: You gave the Thunder quite an aggressive return for Oturu? Were there other players around the league that you had your eye on as trade targets as well?

Chet Youbetcha, Dimmadome News: with you mentioning the Thunder, Kings, and 76ers as your main competition, how would you rank the four teams coming into this season?

GWR: Brandon Boston Jr has now been in the league for 7 years with no playoff appearances. Is he starting to get anxious to compete?

Thank you for question. In this league, there's no room for rebuild, it's all about winning today. The Cavs are ready to win. Did we gave too much? Long term probably yes, however Oturu will help the Cavs make the playoffs right now and that will be worth it.

Yes, we are currently looking for a blue PG. In fact we were super close for another trade but at the end we didn't felt comfortable. Cavs are currently open for any potential offers. We will see.

All four teams had a great off-season and address many weakness. I think there's a good chance all four teams will make it to the playoffs. Here's my power ranking:

76ers
Cavs
Thunder
Kings

I think the Cavs will make a huge leap forward this year. I think we will shock the league. Thank you for the question.

BBJ hasn't been to a night club since he joined the league. He's so anxious, that he decided to live at the Cavs practice facility. BBJ literally has a bed next to the gym.

BBJ is so loyal to the Cavs, he's been our #1 recruiter. Thanks to BBJ, he convinced PF Oturu to sign with the Cavs. I think this year we will finally see BBJ in the playoffs. Thanks for the question.

I think so. You know, with my job & kids, it's kinda hard to fully remember all the rules. But slowly, I'm getting there.

If there's one thing I underestimated was salary cap. My first 3 seasons, my strategy was to be below salary cap. However, I realized you have to spend in order to win. My current team salary is about 200 mil. Not sure if I feel comfortable with a high salary, and dealing with tax penalties. Regardless, I'm spending more this year, hopefully it's worth my tax penalty. And, hopefully I will beat the crap of K100. Will see. Look forward for this upcoming season. The Cavs finished 9th last season in the Omega Conference. What team(s) do you think you will overtake this season to make the playoffs?

As you enter your 5th season as GM, how would you grade your rebuild so far? If the Cavs fail to make the playoffs again will you start over and trade BBJ, Connell, and Tilton?

You are one of the newer GMs who has really lit up the meme thread over the years. It's made something that feels tired at times spicy again. If you were to add a celeb to your Bieber celeb themes, who would it be, and why is it Gilbert Gottfried?

Do you think the Cavs will ever have a chance at being in the playoffs? Better yet winning the season with the competition of the Kings, 76ers, and Thunder?

Thank you! Glad I could help spice things up! I do enjoy talking crap to 76ers, Thunder, and Kings. It's kinda my highlight of the day. I feel I accomplish major goals when submitting memes to my SIM enemies.

Cavs are currently looking into hiring a new media reps. Justin Bieber has been overwhelmed with his traveling schedule. We are currently interviewing Coolio, Master P, and Soulja Boy. We reach out to Gottfried but he's currently asking too much lettuce ($$$). Will see. Thanks for the great question.

Cavs are going to the playoffs! We will win. We are not worried about Thunder and Kings, should be easy wins for the Cavs. Our true threat is the 76ers. It should by a dynasty match up, Cavs vs 76ers is like the Cowboys vs 49ers in the 90s. Stay tune to witness Cavs dominance. Thank you for the question.
