#SLOE: People's Basketball Sim League

Death, taxes, 2nd round exits. Just another day in the life of the Philly faithful. Last season for the first time in a while felt like this squad was finally on auto-pilot. The team really never seemed to be among the league's elite but managed to just hang around the edges. Finishing 4th in the Omega was not much of a surprise and neither were the playoffs. Rekt the Nets in round 1 and got really rekt'd by my arch nemesis, Lakers in the 2nd round. It was finally time to shake up this roster.

Fast forward to the offseason. Kept my promise to shake up the team on draft day with a blockbuster trade to acquire William Pearman from the aforementioned hated Lakers (<3 greeple), but then I underestimated the Rockets' affinity for Obi T and lost my scoring dynamo in UFA (should have heeded their shot across the bow during RFA a few seasons ago). Alas, this team is now a new Big 3 + Ronald Haile (Obi-lite?) with a supporting cast of projects. Should make for an interesting season.

Overall, I expect another good season for the boys in red, white, and blue. My goals this season are simple. Reset the tax, make the second round, and destroy Cleveland.

Why are you so confidence you will destroy the Cavs? Have you seen their social media page? Cavs are some nasty dawgs. GM jlmarines cancelled players time off with families. Cavs players eat, sleep, and live at the practice facility. Any comments K100?

Sham Smith, Bulls.com: No mention of James Wiseman in this press conference. How would you grade his last season, and what do you expect from him in the upcoming campaign?

As someone who has seen Haile up-close, he seems to be a guy that does often get over-looked because his traits do not show a dominant player but he just continues to produce when given opportunities. How does he fit around your star players and how confident are you he'll be a suitable replacement for Obi?

The Cavs cannot play defense. It is as simple as that. And you talking about practice?!

A for the regular season, happy to see him win the steals title too

B for the postseason. Struggled a bit versus the Nets and just was off against a superior Lakers defense

Expect him to finish top 5 scoring, at least an All-League 2nd, and earn Defensive honors again too

Definitely agree about your assessment on Haile - I had a shot to draft him way back in 2031 and passed so it is funny he is finally a Sixer in the twilight of his career. I think he will replace Obi's scoring pretty adequately but the defense will probably not be up to par. Will need to scheme better there. Overall, I think his athleticism fits in perfectly with our helter skelter approach.

Starting PF, but I will copy the Lakers idea and slide him down the 1-4 spots depending on the matchup. I thought that was a creative idea to show off his versatility
