Pacers Preseason Presser Party (S50)

No better time to do a presser than before the historic Season 50 of the PBSL! If you would've told me however many years ago during the initial HornetsReport sim league that this would still be a recurring activity in my life I would be shocked and if you would've told me that id still be chasing a ring id slap my younger self for failure
But anyways about my beloved Indiana Pacers---
THE PAST
Coming off a 61 win season and the 1st seed in the much more difficult conference was a definite success for us last season. I don't remember who wrote a season preview article last year but I remember it stating that we were a bang average team so I was really happy with how we were able to surpass a lot of people's perceptions of us. Unfortunately, the playoffs were like groundhog day where I once again was dispatched by those damn Wizards but honestly it's hard to be down about losing to Xist's team, they've been great for a while and they're as tough to beat as anyone in this league.
THE PRESENT
- The offseason has been pretty eventful with all the shuffling and name-calling that's come my way since the division draft which is fine I'm pretty happy with the Williams Division and how it turned out, I think we have a competitive group of GMs who want to prove themselves which will push me to do my best as well.
- As far as the roster goes I'm gutted I couldn't keep Major Clark on the team, he grew last TC for us into our 6th man who was really our 5th starter because we were trotting the old carcass of Josh Jackson at SF so immediately I knew that was an area we needed to plug. The additions of Zylan Cheatam and Ron McGee who are young and athletic but also very experienced already for their age group, I expect them to be key contributors for us.
- On the flip side Edmond Marsh took a nosedive, I dunno what strip clubs he was chillin at during the offseason but this dude probably won't have a contract next season which is unfortunate because I almost made him the starter last year. A little taste of the big time and he lost his focus smh
THE FUTURE
With retaining the core of a 61-win team expectations are high in my mind but I'm more cautiously optimistic since the last time I truly had high hopes was the forbidden year where I paired Bronny and D.Fox and that didn't work out at all so we'll see. It's hard to project with the unknowns that the realignment presents but when you have a talent like Mama Diakite I think the team will always have a chance.
Good luck to everyone this year, and now I will open up the floor to any and all questions!
