So this has nothing to do with the draft, but Sunday afternoon/evening time me and my friends are doing a golden mile pub crawl in Nola. That's 12 bars across the city. One 16 oz beer per bar. (And if you drink an 8oz beer beforehand then you get to join the 200oz club!). If anyone is interested in participating shoot me a message. We are ironing out specifics in the next day or so. Anticipated areas are mid city, downtown, uptown, and Carrollton/oak.

Points of clarification on trades that people might be thinking about making today.

1. The RFA trade moratorium starts at the end of the draft.
2. The draft ends when the second round is simmed.
3. The second round will not be simmed until everyone has had a chance to submit lists.
4. The list deadline is 5 pm.

Ergo, the deadline for trades to be processed before RFA is 5 pm today.

HOWEVER...

1. You are only allowed to trade items (players, picks) that appear in the index.
2. 2004 draft picks will not appear in the index until after the draft is processed.

THEREFORE

If you post a trade prior to 5 pm, but it involves a 2004 draft pick, it will processed until AFTER restricted free agency, as you didn't actually HAVE that pick to trade until the moratorium period started.

IN SHORT:

Trades posted by 5 pm today that don't involve a 2004 first round pick will be processed prior to RFA (if, for instance, you want to try to make a last-minute trade to get some extra cap space open for RFA).

Trades posted after 5 pm today, as well as trades posted before 5 pm today that DO involve a 2004 first round pick will be processed after RFA.

5:01 and it has to wait until after RFA. Better hope that deal is solidified if it's not in by 5pm!
