Reaction: The Heat have needed a big man since Dikembe Mutombo left. Big men are flying off the board. They know they're on the clock. They know Adam Keefe can't go supernova two straight years. They know the computer thinks the best 8 players available are guards. So naturally, instead of posting their pick they post a rambling about how they know they're on the clock kind of like the previous post on this blog. They get a shooting guard when time expires just like Wig gets an automatic crappy take on his liveblog when time expires.

Action: Bucks trade Rex Chapman and 8pts to the Sonics for a 2001 2nd Round Pick

Reaction: I guess this year the Sonics are picking up players rather than trading everything away. That and we have a new trend this year - 8 points is the new 7 points. The Bucks are just clearing more money to throw at Shaq.

Action: The Bucks send Eric Murdock and 10 points to the Magic for 27th pick

Reaction: This is the second head-scratcher for the Bucks... trading off assets and points for crappy draft picks. Is there even a plan in Milwaukee? Doug DOES know the maximum he can offer Shaq is limited by the Collective Bargaining Agreement, right? Maybe he wants to offer Shaq ALL of the cap.

Regardless, happy to see the trade market starting to heat up.

Action: The Bucks send the #27 and #28 picks plus 4 points to the Mavericks for the #23 pick.

Reaction: Let's see, the net of this for the Bucks is Erick Murdock, the #28, and 14 points for the #23.

Maybe there's someone the Bucks REEEEEEALLY like on the draft board, but they'll have to pray that person freefalls.

Action: The Sonics select PF Stromile Swift at 16.

Reaction: In a draft defined by guards, the Sonics have defied convention (outside of Redd) and selected three big men in a row.

Action: The Charlotte Hornets select Darius Miles at #17

Reaction: This is what the Hornets paid 10 points for?

Action: The Bucks trade the #23 and 4 points for the #18.

Reaction: For those of you keeping score at home, that's now Erick Murdock, the #28, and 18 points. This player has to be a whopper.

Action: The Bucks select Eddie House at #18

Reaction: Yeah, it's a whopper. Ladies and Gentlemen, on the left is what Doug expected. On the right is what he got.

Reaction: Does this mean Jason Kidd is on the way out of LA? Naw, it just means balls has a thing for PGs named Jason. Watch him try to go after Jason Terry next.

Action: The Sonics select Khalid El-Amin with pick 24. The Bulls select Brian Cardinal with pick 25. The Magic select Jerome Moiso with pick 26. The Mavs select Eduardo Najera with pick 27.

Reaction: When is this draft going to be over? When will the Mavs put pick 28 in? Can I go home yet?
